FPS with my future specs?
Hey, i really have to rush this topic as i am going to be ordering an Nvidia 7800 GTX and another 2x 512MB of Ram in the next couple days. So i am wondering if any of the technical experts or people with similar specs could help me out here:
Current specs:
Intel P4 3.2
1GB of Ram
Radeon X600 pro
On vanilla BF2 with all settings on Medium, No AA i get around 35-40 fps in normal areas (dont even ask about SF lol, more like 15 FPS). Now can someone tell me what i can expect to put my settings onto and how much FPS i will get with these "future specs":
Intel P4 3.2 (same)
2GB of Ram (another 2x 512MB)
Nvidia 7800 GTX 256MB (Obvious upgrade lol)
With the money ill be spending i am really looking for a big improvement.
If anyone can tell me it would be greatly appreciated, as you can probably tell im not an expert so sorry if i forgot to post any other important specs of my pc which could decide it.

You're going to be able to run it on super duper awesome quality at whatever the heck resolution you want. A 7800 is a freaking beast, man.

With 2 GB of ram you should look into getting a better processor.

Ive heard the 3.2 is quite fine though, ill be happy as long as with the extra gig of ram and 7800 256 that bf2 runs all on high 4/6xaa with a high resolution lol.
I thought i might aswell upgrade as the games will only get more demanding.

I think the faster processor would make a minimal improvement. Upgrading memory and the graphics card are exactly the right things to do. Check out the following article http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...u-games_3.html
