    "original content" message - 1/31/06

    So I tried to log in last night. The map was Wake Island. After the load screen had finished, I was imedialtely booted and got a message about "this server only runs BF2 with original content. please revert to original BF2" or something to that effect. Treid again, same result.

    I then logged into a pubbie and was immediately called a "jew" for getting hit by a tv missile while on the opfor helipad in sharqi. Man, I love TG.

    Please help!

    PS - I got the next helo in the air and owned for the rest of the fight.

    It happened to me a week or two ago. It kicks on certain servers and certain maps from my experience. I tried reinstalling...didn't work. Patched once...nope. Then i patched it again, went to http://evenbalance.com and manually updated my punkbuster. It Worked!

    So its either...keep trying patching (i patched twice again), or update your PB Manually.

    If you need any help with that just ask.

    People seem to get this intermittently. It might be a patch issue (try repatching to latest version). however some people have had this, and having waited for 5 mins tried reconnecting and got in fine.

    Weird but not permanent for anyone so far.

    I have had this problem for weeks and have just had to sit out Wake Island which really sucks. Tried repatching, gonna try the punkbuster thing now but I don't really know what I'm doing.

    modified content?

    hey guys, I recently did a reinstall of BF and SF and did the patch. When I try to join the server it gives me a message that I can only join with unmodified content. It worked last week so I do not understand what is going on.

    Update your PB Manually, go to http://evenbalance.com and do as it says. Also just try re-patching. One of those two fixed it for me

    Usually takes a reboot to solve that problem for me.

    if you find it happening for one map try getting someone to send you their map files. maybe something messed up in your install.

    This has happened to me a few times as well but a reboot and a bottle of chilean merlot always seems to solve the problem without further action. Bizarre.

    Im now reinstalling BF2; I had the same message on your server last night, couldn't get in at all. At the same time , I could play on our own ranked server, but could not connect to any EA official, due to the unmodified content message. However I had already played on TG with the new patch.. baffled...
