Re: 99.9% true widescreen.
I dont even have a widescreen command on mine. I just left it the way it was installed. And it works fine. No HUD problems in jeeps, no black areas around the outside, nothing.
And i think for the widescreen fixer thingy you need version 1.32 because that was the version that was OK'd by PB.

Re: 99.9% true widescreen.
Yea I have to force my resolution using the +szx **** +szy **** command line function. Works great, and allows me to have a pretty sharp image as compared to the resolution BF2 would force me to use otherwise.

Re: 99.9% true widescreen.
Here is a post I have linked to a few times I did in the tech forum.
Even if you don't use the widescreen fix, the other stuff like password auto login is awesome.

By the way, don't know if anyone else noticed, but EA just finally got around to releasing a bata patch for BF2142 that includes widescreen. God they suck.

Re: 99.9% true widescreen.
Been using this for a bit. The small flickering delay when you iron sight in and out is hardly noticeable - just set the update rate low to somewhere around 20ms.
Sometimes I forget to turn it on; it's not very noticeable. But always good when you want the extra FOV to watch the entire horizon, or two doors at once
TIP: You can always put it on your startup (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup) if you want it to open on Windows Boot
