Glossary of Standard Military Terms
Hey, this thread is going to have some Military terms and abreviations so that you can use them in game. Also, if i put this in the wrong area please move it.
1)ASP-ammunition supply point
2)CAS-close air support
3)Defilade-a natural depression in the terrain that can be used for protection against direct fire weapons.(HAT/LAT/Tanks)
4)FMTV-a large type of cargo truck collectively know as the "Family of medium tactical vehicles"
5)FOB-Forward operating base, the HQ that commands and controls teams in the field
6)FTX-Field Training exercise
7)IMBTR-New squad radio used by the army marine corps (VOIP in game)
8)JDAM-Join Direct Attack Munition(a tail kit that turns a dumb bomb into a GPS based navigational computer and control fins
9)MICH-Modular Integrated Communications Helmet
10)MSS-Mission support site, a temporary base of operations near the objective
11)NODs-Night observation devices also known as NVG(night vision goggles)
12)RTB-Return to base
13)SOFLAM-Special Operations Forces Laser Marker, a pointing device used to desighnate targets or other objects of interest
14)TACP-Tactical air controller party (usually two men teams that call in CAS)
15)AAR-After action reports/review
These are just some of the MANY abreviations that might help you out in PR or any other game. If you hear them and dont know what they mean, they might be here.

One that I use alot that some people don't understand is technical: enemy light/unarmored vehicle (usually insurgent cars/trucks)

well ya you can do that if we all want to read for about 2 weeks straight, (hehe) but these were just a quick intro and have something to do with PR that we could USE.(jk)
