On occasion, I find myself spelling things out with the NATO Phonetic Alphabet. I also sometimes find myself about to say "copy," but I always catch myself.

I was driving by Pendleton one day and saw a TOW HMMWV driving on the highway. I was about to take a screenshot, but my digital camera worked alot better.

i always do taht when talking to somebody and spelling a name, an adress tahts oddly written, or the serial number of my laptop when i need suppport.

Too bad this doesnt work with computerized call centers..

oh and i had a lot of strange moments on the highway or on a street when there's a car or truck standing on the shoulder and we're passing right next to it. im scared it'll blow itself up

i also whisper these Generation Kill phrases to myself all the time.
Like :"Hitman 2-1 this is Hitman Actual......
-Hitman Actual this is Hitman 2-1 send traffic.."
i dunno if anybody has seen/heard me doing that though...

I sometimes (around my family) yell out the Insurgent voice overs. I have no idea what they mean, but they sound cool. I did the other day after I slammed my finger in the door and my wife asked what in the world I just said. I told her I think I was callin for a Medic.

Actually, this is somewhat amusing.

I work with a lot of Law Enforcement personnel and was at the local PD station one day. I hear a sound of gunfire in the distance and it has a familiar crackle to it that I thought was an AK-47. It was a rifle on full automatic with the sound reverberating off the walls in the outdoor firing range.

I come to find out that one of the officers was indeed using an AK-47 in there. Since then I have appreciated the firing sounds on the in-game weapons.

I remember a few years back (2006-2005) i was playing a friendly game of flags and we were planning. And all the sudden i started talking about Squad Leaders and Claymores. JOHNSON! Take your squad and plant your claymores midfield!

Choppers are the worst for me, when i see them, i have to be carefull i dont veer the car wildly across traffic to "hide". And the GF can attest to the fact that i have "called out" choppers in the past....

I live two blocks from a hospital with a helo pad...every time a medical chopper flies overhead (frequently, at treetop level) I'd swear it was a Huey.

Last night, I was at a club in nyc at a friend table and when they brought out the vodka bottles attached to them were sparklers, and when they brought the first two out, i said "who tripped a flare?" Because of not only the sparklers but also because of the sound. My brother then said "its a good thing you came out tonight because you've been playing war games too much on the computer.
