I could 've posted it in the other thread but it does not allow discussion so I rather post here.

Infantry layer (16) gives the British team APCs/IFVs while the PLA team does not.
Alternative layer (32) features both sides receiving transport helicopters and APC/IFVs, while PLA gets their attack helicopter, and the British team gets an AAV to counter it.
Standard layer (64) does not contain attack helicopters, and the British side no longer has land rovers.

    Fallujah West:
Spotted previously, (64) now contains a tank for the USMC as well as a new main base location.

    Fools Road:
Now back to British vs. Militia (Chechens no longer seem to be present, instead reverting to a generic 'militia'), seems to be the same as the current asset layout (light vehicles and AT vehicle for militia, heavy vehicles for British)

    Karbala:
Standard layer (64) now contains tanks for the US.

    Korengal Valley:
Both infantry (16) and standard (64) layers both show only the jeep and truck icon for the US team.
CRF says that this is intentional, but says he doesn't know if there's any difference between the two layers at all (he didn't make the layers).

    Kozelsk:
    Again, Chechenya is now Militia.
Militia now gets tanks, along with their spandrel.

    Operation Barracuda:
Standard layer (64), US side receives APC/IFV.

    Operation Archer:
Spotted before, Canada now takes the US's place in this map.
Standard layer (64), they receive transport helicopters and APC/IFV.

    Qwai River:
Standard layer (64) has light helicopters again for both sides.

    OH noes, no more chechnya

I dont know about you but im not interested in playing hamas or even the IDF since its not really a normal war, I just feel like its wrong I shouldnt mix politics with video game but I just cant

Not directed just at Davey but everyone:

I would strongly suggest that no one mix politics with video games with regard to these two factions in the same way that we do not mix race with video games for any of the other factions.

PR .9 is bringing a highly-charged political issue into the fold. I expect everyone to respect both parties represented in the game and remember that it is just a game. Disparaging remarks regarding either party will be treated in the same manner as racist comments are both in the game and in the forums.

I know Dispo,no one should ever mix video games with politics and Ive been able to handle that with the talibans and insurgent without thinking too much about it, but Ive recently seen graphics pictures of a young israeli kid killed by a quassam rocket and it was pretty hard to see. It will take me sometimes to get used to playing with both factions to be honest

Actually, the Victory class is an old part of the extended universe. It even made many appearances in games as old as TIE Fighter.

...dear god that was nerdy. Shutting up now.

    Come on, Militia again ?

Chechens vs Russians are the most realistic fighting factions in the whole PR right after insurgency.....To bad thats the Devs dont care a **** about a story behind the conflict.

Eh. Making them generic militia again doesn't change much, just means that there's an excuse to have armies other than Russia involved.

That's what I thought at first, but after a little wiki check on recent events, it appears the flag currently used in game is that of the chechen independents and their defunct republic. Those rebels are supposed to have been definitely crushed by Russia, who even pulled out the bulk of their troops last year.
I've also read criticism about the new flag, I happen to like it : it's sort of a Zulfiqar on Ossetian colours. "Muslim rebels still fighting in this region" works for me.
