Re: PR Dev Journal.
A few things that i would definitely like someone to explain to me :
PKM part :
Why would the round not be on the right spot that it would require the gun's user to place it there?
Maybe i just didnt see it right, but did he actually cock the PKM twice?
HK21 part :
Right, so i can get the whole "cocking the gun" thing, but what the hell was checking the end of the belt and touching the rear sights for?
M249 part :
Like with the PKM...Whats with the whole checking the round part? And why the hell would the user just shake the gun for no reason?
Type 95 part :
Seriously? Just why the hell is it required to screw around with the bipod like that for no reason?

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Thats how long it takes to prepare the gun I guess. We are very used to always having a perfect gun that never needs adjustment and he has animated some of the stuff we never normally see
Whats the map shown with the chinese lmg I wonder

Re: PR Dev Journal.
At first glance the Chinese LMG looks Over Powered to be honest, at standing posistion it has considerably less recoil than the rest, though i bet it will be off set by less damage.

... and about the animations, I think it 's nice to see he actually checks the gun after magically popping it out of his pocket

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Yes of course, everything said that isnt "OMFG!!! AWESOME!!!" is obviously just whining, not god forbid asking if someone can explain whats the point in ridiculously long draw animations.
Its actually more effective to just say the animation is there to cover up the dev's desires to extend the weapon draw time instead of wasting bytes over accusing others of whining.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Bah people rarely use the automatic rifleman as is, marksman and other kits are way more popular. Add to that the difficulties getting the kit in your squad consistently....
Makes me think some Dev just really really hates being killed by a saw. Meanwhile our squads are getting hat-sniped, blown up by tanks, bombed by airplanes and softly caressed by jdams.

Well it probably won't be as bad as I think. Amdak has a point though that the guy that checks his bulletis more neurotic then I would like next to me in combat. SL:"open fire". SM "wait I have to check if my bullets are still there and wiggle my gun around and then I have to flick the light switches 4 times and wash my left hand 3 times".
In the end they look quite nice. Only the second gun seems to have Iron sights that block most of your view. I wish they would implement Dyslecxi's point that sights should always be 50 percent transparant to simulate correctly shootin with both eyes open. Unless the soldiers are all one-eyed pirates off course. Request kit:'Automatic riflepirate'.What it's like to play online games as a grown-up:http://s3.amazonaws.com/theoatmeal-i...e_gaming/1.jpg
