Re: PR Dev Journal.
yeap the new weapons/models is not as big of a change to gameplay as the other stuff... but just remember that all of it combined will be quite a different gameplay. we are not just updating models/textures, but updating the gameplay elements along with it...
At first we were just going to update the gameplay stuff and worry later on the models/skins but then we got super dev (chuc) and he went to town on all the art assets and gave lots of motivation to alot of other devs, so that is why your seeing all these cool new visual stuff, but dont worry the gameplay changes are in there too and yes, they are quite signifigant, but its very hard to show gameplay changes in a video or screenshot.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
The change is small but the effect is not imo
Medic are a major class and they literally make the difference between life and death. A squad being wiped out or not along with all the kits they may have is a big deal, I struggle to think of any gameplay change more fundamental then a medic update

Re: PR Dev Journal.
...you pretty much summed up what i was trying to say, except more elquently and better...damn you dev, up showing me yet again -shakes fist- next time! Chuc really has gone over the call of duty and really has out done himself, not to say the rest of the devs havn't done more than their fair share of work (mosquil also helping in animating i know). Sad i can't play your new release, but i like to input either way.
aaaaany way, i think what i said at first just came out negativly, but it is what it is, the change is small, and significant at the same time.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
I think the medic update looks great, especially now that we don't have to use our bandages anymore to free a body. Wish we could drag wounded bodies to a safe spot before starting to heal, but I guess that 's not possible with the BF2 engine.

If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Last I checked, this was the dev journal thread, not the hyperbolic accusations thread...

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Let me make a little post to bring things back to the center.
First off, the name calling and mudslinging needs to stop. Katanama, you were right, you dont have to say nice things, but what you say needs to be contributory. Randy was also partially right in that you still need to speak relatively nicely out of respect for the people that bust their asses to make this game happen. I know those sound contradictory, but if you cant understand how to do both at the same time, you're not mature enough to be posting here.
The thread has run off track. Please do not post anything here unless it specifically deals with the dev journal or one of the updates mentioned within. If you'd like to provide CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, please do. If you'd like to complement the work, please do. If you'd like to discuss the work and put substance behind it, do so. If you're going to post useless dribble or anything thats grossly non-contributory, go somewhere else.
If we cant understand these basic things, we can simply lock the thread.
Capice?
