Kozelsk is going to be THE map in PR, on par with Qwai as far as terrain, beauty and tactical options.

Hope some destroyables remain as I always liked the idea of a dynamic map. They mentioned this kind of thing way back with the doom 2 engine but it never worked out I guess
I hear you! How different would Kashan be when after two hours of intense combat, you could hide in the bombcraters as inf for example. It's gonna take a long time though before game developers (not mods) prioritize this; you cannot see damageble environments in screenshots . Which is still the main selling tool for new games. Mods are the only games actually ment to play rather then lok at.

Battle Field: Bad Company had craters. After being at one point in the map and arty and tank shells landing in a particular point over and over again it would get deeper and deeper. I would just crouch in them and be totally protected and stand up and fire.

And as far as I know, Battle Field 3's engine will be the same as Bad Company's.

Yes, Kozelek, Kozelkek, whatever the name is.

It looks like a fun map, can't wait to play it.

    Edit: Kozelsk!

The splashscreen that never made it.

I 'm setting this as my splashscreen since I only play PR .

To say the outlook for this looked bleak would have been the understatement of the century. In fact, if you had said it would have made the mod, no one could have been more wrong, apart from that man Chamberlin who came off a plane in 1939 waving a piece of paper saying "peace in our time". Smooth move fella.....

    But I digress.....

Having seen a few devs using it as some form of wallpaper, I thought it could be a nice addition to release to the community. Enjoy!

    - Rename that file, so you have a backup (=vanilla splash screen)
    - Rename your PR .bmp file to 00000000.256

Result: if you start PR now, you get to see this splash screen. Unfortunately, every BF2 mod you now start has this splash screen. But of course PR is the only BF2-mod you play, right?

"easier" to drive dirtbike eh? Don't mind if I do.

All these wishes for AK74, craters, and perhaps german forces are present in another BF2 mod played here at TG...

Thanks ghost, however since i am not that great with the internal workings/changing things of computers, and don't want to risk messing up BF2 or PR, i have decided to use that as my desktop background at work, but if i feel like taking a risk i might have to see if i can make that my default splash screen.

    Re: PR Dev Journal.

I converted the above file to a .BMP and renamed it so all you have to do is extract the attached .ZIP in your BF2 folder. Make sure you backup the original 00000000.256 first.

Tried it and it works fine, but since I use a CD-image, it only shows up for like half a second .

I wouldn't take any chances with my machine, I'd keep it as a desktop screen, one false move and I might end up destroying battlefield 2 and PR! That's what I fear of anyway. My computer's very tempremental, if that's the word.

It 's just a .BMP and if you rename the original one to 'backup' or whatever, you can't really do anything wrong .

PS: A new changelog has been posted but once again it contains nothing but 'xxxxx' so I 'm not gonna bother to post it here until the devs stop teasing us.

Nah, it's more about I'll place it in a wrong place or something, also things just seem to screw up even if they are done as instructed.

And I haven't seen this Changelong, it must be a good map. Lots of people are dissapointed that it isn't in 0.85
