Yeah the non-scoped rifleman kit is good for close-quarter combat because the ironsights are good for that situation while the scope can be hard to use at very close range.

Ive noticed, that in Al Basrah, the destructible buildings and wall does not give suppression when fire upon, so if you see someone in a window, he will not be suppressed.

You are also not suppressed if you are actually hit by bullets, nor if they pass close to you while in the air.

Try it yourself. Stand next to a house that can not be destroyed and fire into the wall next to you, and you will be suppressed. Do the same to a destructible wall or building and nothing happens.

By the window I mean that some bullet may miss and hit the wall beside the window and give suppression effect, but that does not happen on some buildings.

Mental note, when being supressed, run into fire. Will not be suppressed. Will be dead.

I'll add more weirdness. Since the suppression range is exactly 4 meters, if you take cover on a hilltop, due to the shape of your cover, you wil not be suppressed at all because even if bullets zip inches over your head, the ones that land in front of you on the hilltop will be too far away so that no suppression occurs.

I really like the suppression effect, and I think it is way too soft, because I can still easily pop up and shoot ppl when suppressed. The issues I and Jevski raised though make it very unreliable.

I'm a little confused, do I need the 0.756 levels and 0.756patch or is the .756 levels setup only if you were moving from the .61 version of PR to .756?

I wish the limits of the engine weren't so apparent as they are on suppression effects.

If it were possible to allow that black out effect to happen gradually over time depending on amount of fire it would be so much better. For example if someone is shooting bullets at you at the rate of one every 2 seconds or so the suppression rate would be low and hence the blackness around the center would be minimal. However up that to 2 bullets every second the blackness grows. Be under fire from a SAW and the blackness just keeps getting bigger and bigger making your aiming next to impossible.

When I fire a SAW at someone you better believe I expect them to keep their head down and not pop up for anything until I run out of ammo. If you stand up while an AR is firing at you, you better be dead immediately.
