Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
I can't even play now with the MD5 shader_client.exe punkbuster kick a few minutes into the game. Once I'm in a game the lag is easily dropping my FPS about 10.
All in all I'm seriously hating this new PB push to the server. I can't even play the one game I like to play anymore and it makes me a very sad panda..

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
I have noticed a tiny bit of lag, the major lag for me comes from the Huey on some maps. Its only non laggy on.....no map actually. But all i have to do is disconnect and reconnect and it runs smoothly. Im not sure why it does that really, it doesnt make sense.

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
I too have been getting massive lag spikes. A reboot normally returns it to normal. Just my two cents...

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
Another one I heard is game.lockfps #
# is where you place the fps number you want as a maximum. By default it is 100 but some maps have weird lag on them where they fall from 100fps to 20fps if you look in a certain direction. Very irritating because even if it stays above 25fps it still feels like lag because of the sudden change in fluid motion.
If you have this problem try setting game.lockfps 30
Thats enough to be fluid but will stop the inconsistency which can effect your accuracy, etc
Or you can set it to your screen refresh rate would might help avoid 'tearing'

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
Deleting your cache folders in your Mydocuments\Battlefield 2 directories can force the game to reload the shaders, and potentially fix this problem.

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
Ever since the shader check was applied to the server I've experienced some pretty bad graphical lag on maps where there is a lot of forrestry (especially Bi Ming and Fool's Road).
Previous to this, my resolution was 1280x960 in the game. I had to drop it down to 1024x800 just to decrease the lag
.. but the lag is still there, although to a lesser degree.

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
Ive noticed slightly more lag in the past few days. There have been several times at the start of a new map when my fps will drop down to 6 and stay there until I restart the game.

Re: Increased lag since PB/shader message
I just formated my hard drive and reinstalled everything and now i seem to be getting more lag than before my wipe. This also includes PoE, not just PRMM. Ill give some of the above suggestions a try but its frustrating, formating is supposed to make things faster, not slower
