    Re: MD5 Shader PB KICK

Played PR this weekend for the first time since the PB update -> got kicked after 20 mins with the MD5 shader message.

    How to solve it:
    • copy the PR.EXE to the same directory as the BF2.EXE (default is C:\program files\ea games\battlefield 2) - might work from the 'mods' directory too, not sure
    • launch PR with the above EXE

    No need to reinstall anything...

What I noticed is that I now finally see the new shader suppression effects and all I can say is I hate them . When covering the back stairs inside the North Bunker of Kashan Desert, my screen kept turning black by bullets/nades hitting the roof of the bunker... how unrealistic is that, there 's about 0,5m of concrete between me and whatever 's hitting the top.

So for some reason the effect does not work when you launch the game using the original BF2.EXE, but unfortunately this gets you kicked now.

The idea is good, but it needs a lot of tweaking...

    Re: MD5 Shader PB KICK

If you've tried everything, like I have, and are still getting MD5 errors then I have a possible solution for you. It's very lengthy but it worked for me... so far.
