    A river may come, its in the "idea folder". I need to look into river textures. I think the next version will be solid, all the fixes fixed and a few new items. And the map is old, the newer map will build off of a real topographical map look.

    Looks wonderful and looking forward to getting on that with some players. Kind of reminds me of a light vehicle only Middle East version of Fushe Pass in a way. The textures and new models are great though. The added colors and variations of terrain really make the area feel real. It's added base to actual locations puts a touch of personality to it. Excellent effort!

    Yeah... its really an amazing map.

    Anyways, there are some little issues I've discovered:
    - The kit selection isn't in the same order as .75 (instead of officer, rifleman, etc. its rifleman, medic....)
    -Insurgents can get into Brit vehicles, and visa-versa.
    -The Insurgents can go inside the two bases (which can lead to some serious base rape)

    I know, I know.... I'm just saying that, should this map ever even be considered for .8 by the Devs or something, I think that a "dome of death" should be implamented.

    The map looks great! I'm wondering how it handles under a full load of 64 players.

    As far as I know, we're not running custom maps right now and I know of no plans to do so. If the PR team adds this to a release, then we'll obviously have it. Otherwise, I don't believe it is in the plans to run custom maps. However, if the map turns out as well as it looks, I don't see why the PR team wouldn't add it.

    Alrighty guys, the fella who made this map has posted some more updates.
    Looks like hes made some custom fields that are visable from far away, which is pretty darn cool.
    Anyways, heres the link, check out the pics:

    Looks amazing...

    I 'm really looking forward to new maps cause the ones we play now are getting old.

    That 's about the only thing this mod is missing but 0.8 should fix that.

    Read the rest of the pages...this guy is VERY experienced in this field of work.......your gonna be suprised unless you already know.

    The challenge then is to not make the same mistakes when playing it again



    I'm a 3d effects artist by day and a very active weekend warrior by night (Airsoft/Milsim). One thing that has always bothered me is the very smooth hills and mountains you see in most maps. Which just playing airsoft I have never ran into this. So anytime someone stands on the top of one they stand out like a nipple. But in real life hills and mountain are hard and rocky (at least where I live and where my map is located).

    Its going to be really hard for the UK to spot a sniper or find where the RPG are coming from (simulate mortars) when you look into the hills.

    My hope is this map will be what PR is looking for. I know they are going to go for the larger maps but I think this one has a great play value about it. With out full team work the British wont make it. But a nice treat awaits them if they push the insurgents out of the valley. That treat will be in a form of an Apache.

    KHARA V0.896 - Change List

    Hello everyone, seeing that my level doesnt have any custom objects that were not created by me I'm letting this version go out to everyone. Hope maybe some of you can get it on a server and let me know if you encounter any issues. If you do download please leave any bugs you find. Feedback leads to a PR release. But first read my known bugs

    Features:
    British vs Insurgents.
    Northern Afghanistan based map.
    Fight from lush poppie crops to high Afghanistan hills.
    Long and hard mountain pass the British will have to travel.
    British Outpost with sniper rifle over looking the valley.
    Many mountain trails.

    British Goals
    Push the Insurgents out of the valley. Then proceed into the mountains and find the Insurgent base.

    Insurgents Gaols
    The British have been cutting down valuable poppie fields. With nothing to lose attack the British outpost and keep the valley clean of the British army.

    INFANTRY and APC based Map

    Map:
    - Very low lightmap, most if not all objects will have dark spots on them
    + New beta cave system
    - Cave system dosen't have the correct textures, very basic.
    + Overgrowth added and reduced
    - Some floating objects I didn't get to, should be very little.

    Game play:
    + More houses have been placed in the hills
    + Insurgent random rally points have been mixed up
    - Apache removed (maps too small from my tests)

    - File sizes not yet reduced
