When I finish it up I'll add black to the red to even it out and lose that pinkish look.

I think it depends on what you're going for. Personally, I think the contrast is too low due in large part to the red sky. Also, remember that your sig limitation in filesize has a lot to do with what kind of file you save it as. Some have better compression than others, so it is very easy to create a complex, good looking signature while still keeping it in the filesize limitations.
