Modelling Thread
Hi to everyone. I made this thread so if people model weapons, they can show off. Ive been modeling for a couple of months now and i think its awesome. I model for the community mods like the german and russian ones. Below is a picture of the MG3 That is currently being modeling.

please leave feedback and if u model yourself, please post pics of that too. Also, i use 3ds Max if anyone is curious.

Re: Modelling Thread
It's really quite good. I wanted to get into it myself, but found out it was way to time consuming. If you're not planning on having a career in 3d design i think it's a waste of time.
Very good model though.

What program are you using Gumball. I've tinkered with modelling here and there and am curious.

Re: Modelling Thread
how does one go about making sure all the parts of the gun scale correctly to one another. is it possible to just enter the real life specs of the gun and then scale it against the people once it is in game?

Re: Modelling Thread
3ds max nine. It really doesnt take too long. This model took around a month just because ive been focusing on work and school. The Drum Magazine actually took me around 15 minutes to make . All u need is patience and a desire to learn it. Once u have the basic things down then ur good to go. In the begining it was very time consuming but u just need to get everything down. I rather model than do Photoshop because all the stuff im making might be put in-game and a sig may last me just 2 months.
Reply to Kevlarorc:
U just need to collect ALOT of refference pictures of each part of the gun. It would make my life alot easier if i could just enter the real length and width and height of the gun but i cant. It complicated to type because u have to see it for it to make sense to you. Once u put the gun in the BF2 Editor then u can scale to the correct size of it.

Re: Modelling Thread
If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks
