Yea if in doubt reinstall and vary something slightly and see if it works this time, etc

Like if it were me, I'd be installing bf2 on a new drive or something like that. You have plenty of disk space free I take it ?

start> run>dxdiag> save all info

Then copy and paste the text file to this thread and wrap code tags around it so you dont spam anyone. I'll take a quick gander for anything obviously incorrect.

Ok, just in case anyone else is running Vista 64. You must load the Service Pack 1. That does fix issues with many games. And better supports the use of 4+ gig of ram in games.

After that, and a final complete uninstall of BF2/patches, and PR...and a reinstall, everything works. Must do the correct order of BF2, patch, PR core, PR levels. Run in compatibility with XP and with administrator rights.

All is good again.

Got in today and had a little fun with Wickens and Ollie to name a few. I have a new keyboard and like a new girlfriend, gonna take a while until I know how she likes to be worked.
