Re: School is out for sure now....
Maturity usually comes with age, but not always...

Re: School is out for sure now....
This is where you kick the guy from your squad and report him for disobeying orders.
Take the initiative to teach then. It takes less than 10 seconds to completely teach someone how to heal themselves. Sometimes a good "SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME" is what it takes to get that point across.I will point out that one of the two insubordinates did take a medic kit when it was pointed out that we did not have one. But he did not know how to heal himself and was too busy screaming for help that he couldn't hear us tell him what to do. First time I saw a medic die by bleeding when no enemies were around.
Guys, the problem isnt necessarily the young players. A big part of it is the level of gameplay on our server has made some of us complacent. If people dont know how to play properly, teach them. If they're intentionally insubordinate, report them. Solve the problems instead of just letting it ride and we can surely develop a playerbase of younger, knowledgeable players. I can remember when most of the guys in the 15th joined up and I can say with confidence that about half of them didnt know their butts from a hole in the ground when it came to the inner workings of PR. But they were taught and groomed to fit the TG mindset and quickly became professional, knowledgeable, mature players and now anyone is proud to share the field of battle with them.
Pick up the torch and get the job done guys. TG isnt about getting rid of the people who dont get it right away. It's about helping people become the gamer that we all know they could be with the right help.

Re: School is out for sure now....
Regardless of Gunner, who still doesn't know, thanks for the kind words!
This is part of what we as a squad, are trying to do. There is a very real difference between insubordination and merely not knowing what is expected of you, people need to bear this in mind when dealing with the influx of new players.

Re: School is out for sure now....
If i was getting pounded into the ground I would call the NSPCC and/or 999. On a side not, if a new player is in game and asks something like "whats this spade for" don't go "RTFM",abbreviations to this game are alien to an outsider, either say nicely to read the manual or invite them to a squad and just give them a quick brief about Project Reality

Re: School is out for sure now....
The squeaky voices I can deal with but the accents of some players drives me insane, the British and UK is cool but the middle easterners drive me insane they always talk in a yelling voice and have that attitude were you ask them to repeat something they flip out.
*no offense, not racist its just there accent*

Re: School is out for sure now....
technicly a hole in the ground isnt full of dirt either

Yes new players require teaching and we need people that are willing to do that, i would not mind but i found out that they need to know the basics (vanilla) otherwise its not really posible (for me at least) to give them a good tutorial ingame. If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks

Well maybe next time I will give them a little more time, I just didn't like the fact that he quit medic after that rather than learn how to play it.

Re: School is out for sure now....
Well I don't mind that they talk. As long as its useful chatter. When the SL is trying to give the game plan, that means don't scream over VOIP...
"Hahahahaha, I am the driver. AHHHH GET OUT OF THE WAY!! HONK HONK!!! I AM HONKING MAH BIG HORN!!! Haha... Everyone put on your seat belts!! Hahaha..." It might be ok for a little bit. But when your driving in Qwai from Pig Farm all the way to Processing, it gets REALLY annoying.

School is out, and it's a good time to train new squad members...listen close
