That's a bit much to hope for in a pub

Then practice it with them, and turn them into a regular.

Well, I guess it is hit-or-miss, but when you get the right group together it works quite well. All it takes are two players on teamspeak and they become the SL of the two squads. After that it's pretty easy.

It really is up to the SL of the particular squad to use an assigned asset in the way he/she feels is best suited to help their team.
    Rafterman,

D1sposable, cougar, bamboo, nerds_R_Cool (when he is around), and steiner, are excellent guys to use the APC with, they know the idea down pact as in regards to MECH Inf, and they are also seasoned veterans when giving other squads rides/providing cover etc. As a pub I learned how to use this very tactic way back when cougar and nerds were with BLKOPS. It can be done. And its fun to do.

Well I agree six or twelve on the ground certainly beats four. My problem is really only when I see the APC fartin around in the desert while the infantry gets chewed. With coordinated apc + infantry that doesn't happen of course. But just the few times squads have assets and don't use them are frustrating.

I hear ya, we need to setup a strong counter attack on those pesky MEC APC's (which were leftovers of the afghan war) and put an end to their Attack from the SE, so many times on ejod, i pray for an APC to roll up on those sand dunes on the east side of east city and ruins and meet its maker with an APC or waiting HAT team, alas, i am killed while i look at the map and see on on the west side, or too far up on the north east.....There will come a time when it happens though, and I await that Glorious day when I stare death in the eye only to see my maker get blown to smithereens! At which I will jump uncontrollably and probably shoot myself in the foot, or do the jump prone dance where a sniper will then take me out.......

The way I see it, is that us older guys (I know, I 'm only 26... today btw ) don't bother to take any of the assets. I 'm more like, let the kids have their toys. I usually just fill up the holes, which is either infantry or CO.

Last time I flew a chopper on Qwai was a few weeks ago and I didn't even enjoy it. I actually got my hands on the gun LB and kept it up the entire time, but not a single person was putting down CAS markers or calling in air support. When I finally got a request, I got kicked for a SM... talk about bad luck.

The only asset I sometimes use, is an APC, because most people don't like them and don't know how to use them.

I don't even understand why these people keep creating the same squads for the same assets every single time, it gets so old. Try a different role once in a while, it can be a lot of fun . It gets even worse when these 'regulars' are on the opposite team and start bragging about killing each other...
