Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
#3. Too many assets on the map, people left without tanks/choppers/apcs/planes are stuck with having to go for the flags, which is suicide in itself. If it had 2 places where people spawned, no flags, and just pure asset killing, it would be interesting

Agreed - too many assets for the number of players allowed.

Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
I'll admit I've only played 2 partial rounds so far, the first being in a jet and mindlessly flying around because the team had not yet figured out how to paint targets, and the second in a round without anything resembling teamwork. In either case I disconnected at around 10 minutes, but I still think the map has a lot of potential IF and ONLY IF some modifications are made to give infantry more of a fighting chance.
I chose 1 because I think it has potential if given some modification to be more infantry friendly.
PS: The handling for the jets SUCKS if you don't have a joystick. Some of us have become quite proficient with the KB+Mouse setup and this was just a slap in the face.

Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
I don't like it because my pc can't handle the amount of trees and lags like hell.

Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
I find that China's assets are extremely underpowered to that of the British and USMC. I had a really bad round the other day and that pretty much turned me off from it all together. If your wanting this info for .8...GET RID OF IT PLEASEEE!!!

Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
Map needs to be redone in my opinion, the West part of the map is only good for the jets and helis to escape from to go back for repairs. Infantry is almost useless as the only real kits that get played are the crewman, pilot and sniper/HAT kits.
Their should be a big city (w/ buildings that can be blown up) in the west part of the map IMO or something where having a scope on your rifle will damage your play rather than iron sights so it'll make it a lot more unique having infantry instead of snipers running around hiding next to trees in the hills...

First, it lags too much. I have a very nice computer and it lags for me. Second, It is waay too large for me. Even when you're in a landy it takes forever. Third, there are too many assets, not enough infantry action. Fourth, there are waay too many trees. It is near impossible to get a good position. The really good positions I have found have too much grass. Fifth, the fences around main are high enough that you can go prone and crawl beneath them. It makes baserape too easy.

Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
As the thread starter you shouldnt really state your own opinion alongside the question unless you want to influence the outcome but no biggie
I played this map yesterday, normally I dont love it but it was good actually. Not quite sure why but maybe my squad/team didnt suck and so it was ok.
I think the tickets are too high, Ive said elsewhere I would prefer battles to be more decisive not the 1-0 close ticket outcomes that we often see. This applies to big maps especially because the dynamics are larger and infantry dwarfed
I prefer this to kashan most of the time, the scenery is better. Saying that I just had an amazing game of kashan in the tournament so mostly its about gameplay and your teams coordination.
The challenger tanks are much better then chinese, they climb amazing and with so many hils that matters. Plus hitboxes plus the jet imbalance.
But just to be confusing I have to say I prefer asymetric gameplay as the imbalance helps to avoid stalemates.
Obviously each team needs an equal chance of winning either through ticket or some advantage
I like the two tier ticket bleed, a higher rate to each would be good also. Again to encourage imbalance and avoid stalemates
Sure put a boat on it but keep the flag and base just the same under the water then you must dive down to capture it
This would make it primarily an infantry controlled flag to bring the two main flags into a similar position as kashan bunkers

Re: Do you play Battle for Qinling ?
yes i love it. I love combined arms but i think the airpower on kashan is too much and destroyes everything else. Qinling is a perfect blend of armour, air, and infantry. Though it can still be a bit tough on the later sometimes. Three thumbs up for Qinling!!!!

I like the idea with a lake in the coal mine, I'm thinking submarine perhaps!?! Or better yet a pirate ship! with a mast and everything and you can sail around the 30m lake in it firing cannons at people!
