I view medics as a last resort rifleman, or rearguard. If things look desperate yeah use him as a rifleman. But if he is in active combat hes got 1/6 chance of being the one dieing which for me is too high, lots of times its useful to have a rearguad or flank guard(?)
BTW i still think an attacker needs to be taken out first, before the revive

If you have a full squad rather than a small one, it is definitely more difficult to be stealthy in the battlezone. Also, from my experiences in PR, a mechanized crew is so much more effective with simply 3 squad members(driver, gunner, engineer) working and communicating with each other. But overall, this is an outstanding post... I like how you think. Keep it up, man! I'm looking forward in your new updates to this PR "Bible".
It is also possible to split up into two spec ops fireteams instead of making a 3 man squad which gets people really ticked off. That would work just fine

and yes if the squad can keep the enemy suppresed then the medic can go revive

and yes its just some points, i didnt say a few
No point losing two men instead of one that is worse then useless.

I would also argue medics can be fairly redundant sometimes, you cant assault with a medic kit and revive or heal is too slow to be usefull. Just dont have a medic in those cases or swap kits if you can

Loads of people dont use smoke for cover, it works! Funny when a medic just about doubles your spawn time, not

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.

I half agree with you there. The medic kit is primarily a rifleman which can simply stabilize a wounded soldier usually after the battle or in cover safe from a battle. If it's not those 2 conditions the medic is the same as a rifleman. BUT the medic shouldn't be at the very front, he should be hanging around mid-back but still fighting. Reviving/healing is for after the fight.

Edit : didn't see your next post on the topic of medics but this still stands.

Damnit Blizzard, fix ZvT already >.<

I find that due to the length and time (not to mention danger factor) it takes to succesfully revive and fully heal someone. I find revives to be really hard during a close quarters/medium distance combat situtation (also lets not forget the time until someone dies). Therefore, I don't mind a medic firing of his weapon once in a while as long as he stays toward the rear and is nowhere near the pointman.

Yeah, definitely that would work. The thing is I'm not sure it will let you request multiple spec op kits because I know that you can't request more than one LAT or HAT kit in a squad. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You can get two spec ops in 1 squad, maybe sniper kit too

Last I checked, you can request both "specialized kits" for a single squad and you only need two squad members (I think) to request them. Specialized kits include the sniper, HAT, spec. ops., and AA kits.
