Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
I like the general direction this is heading in, but let me throw out some of my own ideas:
-there would effectively be three "stages" to the game: set-up, defend, run.
-Set-up would last 2 minutes, and task the British survivors with A) finding the best place to fortify their position and B) setting up defenses on that position. Zombies are not in play at this time.
-Defend would last 5 to 10 minutes, where the survivors are bombarded by wave after wave of meat-hungry zombies. The survivors lose if their position is overrun, or if all survivors die. During this stage, ALL zombies respawn and rush in waves, organized by the zombie commander. NO STRAGGLERS!
-Run would last as long as it takes for the survivors to get from point A (the Defend position) to point B (helicopter rendezvous some ways across the map). During this stage, zombies rush as soon as they're respawned, providing a constant threat to the survivors.
The way I see it, 32 enemy zombies is perfect: it will focus the attention of the survivors during waves, and provide enough zombies during the running phase to cause considerable havoc.

Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
I like it. Al Basrah would probably work decently enough in most respects, actually, so long as the zombie team is given time to set up and the brits are banned from holing up in an impenetrable position like the top of the hotel (maybe just use it as the starting point?)
There's no way to guess how it'd play out beforehand... it'd be something that'd need a lot of tweaking on the fly to get right. I'd ban the brits from sprinting, though... the zombies NEED to be faster. Besides, the brits would get enough advantages just from working together and covering their backs better.
As for an escape route, I say that they should need to start in the eastern island, hold off the zombies for a few minutes, and then make their way to the village. The open fields and such between the city and the village, after all, isn't impossible for the zombies to dash through, and if nothing else it gives them time to set up a welcome party in the village.

You could always mix zombie speed up a little: in waves, zombies can be slow. One at a time, though, they need to be speedy.

Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
yea? crumpets? were those really such a great idea?...
& what about that time we dumped all of that tea in the bay 200 years ago?...u didn't think of anything good that time! couldn't even throw of a wet T-shirt contest or anything...
as to Zombies: we would need to disable team-switching on the server so the dead zombies don't get sent over to the Brits. I love the shot gun/pistol idea...especially if the brits have to run out in the open, that will give the zombies a chance to get close. What if we did Al basrah and started on South VCP on top of the tall rooftop, and the brits have to get to North VCP running up the main road, stopping to rescue a teammate along the way in the underground bunker near the big intersection. Zombies would have plenty of spawn points along the road as the Brits move north.
If the shotguns are too weak, we could give the brits a single Crewman kit. (limited ammo and only semi-auto).|TG-X|WAREHOUSE

Warehouse! Crumpets are ace :O
Though yeah, admitedly after you guys dumped all the tea, because of our supierior (and class educated) intellectuals missed the entire point
we missed the wet T-shirt thing.
And believe me, after I seen American women that's a bad thing

Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
Heh warehouse, I always had this type of idea sitting in the back of my head for some other games (not PR) but I think this would be great. I personally think the 3 brits is a good number as long as they can have any gun (not explosives) to fend of the zombies. But the zombies should have halved spawn times and the brits should have a small ammo cache in the building they hold up in. Who would in their right mind set up in a building without extra supplies.

Damnit Blizzard, fix ZvT already >.<

Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
This sounds awesome!!! I would love to play either side, but only if the date and time is good. I am going back home in August for a couple of weeks after a really long school year+ summer school.

Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
I like the 3 stages idea!
we could have brits using any gun they want while in the building they hide in, but after they make a run for it, they have to use small arms... kinda like they ran out of ammo and decided to make a run for help. The soldier they rescue in that underground room along the way could have a crewman kit of spec ops kit so they at least have someone with a good weapon to protect them. North VCP is a long way to run with just pistols!|TG-X|WAREHOUSE

Re: (event idea:) 28 Days Later
Definitely a wicked idea. Is 28 days later the first one? Cause i seem to recall watching 28 weeks later. Its the one with the really hot british chick and the little boy. And the gun in the helicopter at the stadium. And the boy gets bit but doesnt turn into a zombie..
OH and the part where the heli puts his rotor close to the ground and makes zombie mince meat! That would be wicked!!!!

Do you really want invincible bears running around raping your churches and burning your women?
