anyways, today i had two (2) players that shot on me while i was repairing the littlebird, because "they want to fly" one of them teamkilled me and got banned afterwards, the other wounded me, but then apologised, gave me a field dressing, so i went out of the LB to take it, he tried to steal my LB, fortunatly for me that guy was to retarded to enter it...

fighter, you can tell that "kid" is just using a voice changer. No 6 year old has a wide enough vocab to speak like that. Plus when the "kid" talks back there is always a long delay between what the person says. If that was truly a 6 year old I'd be scared.

If there's something I missed out on in that please tell me, I stopped listening about 1/4 of the way through heh.

When this new .8 release comes out do you have to uninstall the current version and install the new one or is it a patch type?

There will most likely be a patch and a full version. Thats what .75 was. Just a patch but .8 will be big so.. It will be what ever they want it to be i guess.

Mr_Fighter, i didnt mean any offense to anyone here its just that my litter sister has a bunch of little cocky friends that lip off to me and alot of other people.

joe, .6 to .7 was a full reinstall so I'm guessing .75 to .8 will be a full reinstall as well.
Besides, so many things are being changed that you would basically overwrite everything anyways.

This may be slightly off topic, but if this bevy of new players does come out I seriously think a new admin is needed for the following time period (all times are in PST since that's when I play). I usually play during the following times on TG server = 10pm to 4am, thus saving myself from having to play with kids. It is at these times where there is rarely if ever an admin on duty. The server at this time is usually crowded with people who refuse to follow SL/CO orders [even simple map waypoints], soloing/wasting assets, camping ucbs, server emptying squad bugs (with no resets), and random crashes.

I understand that things do happen instantly but if the admin team does plan on implementing some changes to augment the predicted surge when .8 hits it would be nice for perhaps a new admin who could be available during these times.

Is it me or does the PR community generally seem to greet the prospect of new players with a large dose of negativity? I understand that not everyone relishes the prospect of playing with noobs but in the long term it's for the greater good. Everyone has to start somewhere and the larger this community grows the better. I personally look forward to the day TG has 2 or 3 PR servers up and running.

Unfortunately Danolboy, a vocal minority in the the community have a negative view on alot of things and get a bit carried away. But there are a large number who do not and have a great, positive, mature attitude.

I think its more for LIFE, then just the PR community.. Its like Band of Brothers, with the replacments... Its a sad, sad truth.. so basicly, everyone put a mask on, pretend to smile, and get them through field training as soon as possible.
One month and a Day until Im reunited with PR... which, btw, is the first thing Im going to do after being awake for more then 24 hours and traveling 9 hours into the past. Screw you Jetlag!

Call me whatever you want, but I miss PR.

I 'm fine with new players as long as they RTFM. However it 's still frustrating at times when they need 5 minutes to get the kit you assigned them.

It 'll be a difficult time but I 'm sure the new features will make up for that.

Oh, if the pubbies are anything like me, they will either still be playing another game, or will learn quickly or suck. Oh wait, theres a one in three chance were screwed.

Also.. I dont know how it is when new versions come out, but if people really want to play the game, couldnt they start at ANY time? Why wait till a new version when the date still hasnt been given out?
Once it has, we may have a one in three chance to be screwed.

Just make sure that all squads are led by TG regulars. If you stay in your comfort zone of 100% TG squads then please don't start complaining about new players.

From my experience that is indeed the truth. I have been squad leading alot lately and rarely do I come across those dreaded newbies who ruin the game. Perhaps 1 player in 10 games.
