Re: Why I should just stick with PR
I dont understand what every thinks is wrong with COD4. You obviously have never played on our server. We have extremely strict rules against running and gunning. As well as spawn sniping, etc. Its not team death match, its search and destroy. I swear, some of you need to try out our server and you will see its alot of fun. And to those who say it takes no talent..Off with your head! COD4 takes about 10x more talent then PR ever would.

Re: Why I should just stick with PR
I find the TG CoD4 servers to be a welcome relief from 2142, sometimes. It takes more careful planning and deliberate strategy. It reminds me of the old CS days, but much better.
-and the TRM server? Da shiz. Nothing like map variety

Re: Why I should just stick with PR
I think we said you need talent for COD4, because you need that twitch reaction. The first one to start shooting usually wins. As I said earlier, I'm sure COD4 is different on the TG server. But, I didn't get a nice impression from previous games. I still think Arma and PR are both games where tactics are more important than a fast reaction time.
Not to simply bash games, but the teamplay difference from 2142 and PR or Arma will blow your mind. I used to play CS and its was a twitch shooter also.

Re: Why I should just stick with PR
Irregardless, it still requires paying closer attention to things. Having to sneak around, etc. The teamplay difference IS huge, and that's probably why personally I like the break of having to switch strategies and gameplay.
I'm one of the first people to say "what a load of carp!" and quit playing something because I'm the the one who's crosseyed and drooling, and practically waiting until the egg timer goes off before he starts firing at someone... so I always lose twitch matches and that's why I stopped playing CS (as well as because of all the aim bots) -but at least in CoD4, it gives you a chance to circumvent somewhat by using strategy.
2142 can be just as frustrating, especially when you first start out, and especially if you don't crawl up one sole unlock tree at a time. I can find someone and fire first, but especially on head-on, I'll lose the majority of the time because I haven't yet unlocked the more powerful guns. So while I"m tickling them with my pea-shooter, they've Clark-ed me in the face from a mile away

Re: Why I should just stick with PR
A few weeks ago I took a break and tried a bunch of half life 2/source mods just to check them out. When I did that I realized how lucky I am for having PR and its community of like minded gamers.
