If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.

    Re: vBF2 First thoughts

Guys lets not wander onto a "Lets bash eachother" spam fest. Sort it out over PMs and leave this thread on topic.

vBf2 is great fun but gets old. Well see how it takes shape, maybe with a modified rule set (probably not) and hopefully a more regular crowd.

    But, imo it will die.

Lets wait for the official launch date to set our opinions.

Lets also not forget that BF2 is the gaming engine for the game we all love to play, plus its very likely what got you all into PR....

Its hard to go back, it feels so empty when you do anything. I didnt mind playing bad company so I guess its more about finding something new

    I enjoyed it.

I will play it every couple of days. I'm trying furiously to unlock things. I got the G3 the other day, just for nostolgia - anyone else remember when that thing was OP'd? One shot to the chest and it'd bring any unarmored foe down (Medic, Spec Ops, Sniper).

Side note: We're all asking you, Sirsolo, who you are because none of us have ever seen you even play on our server. We all know you're somewhere in Europe right now, but before that, we never even saw you on our server. We have reliable intelligence saying that you're a banned player from Texas Team Players...

PR>vanilla BF2 imo, Im loving PR compared to the mass spam of grenades and bunny hoppers that are rampant vanilla bf2. It could work though like it does for BF 2142 but would require admins to be on at all times tbqh.

... you probably don't know me since I haven't played PR or posted in TG in 2 months and have only played PR for a little while before that and my opinion probably doesn't count for much but I, being a close friend of Sirsolo's IRL know for a fact that he would play on TG everytime he could when he got on PR. Also, FYI, he got perma banned from TTP because he called an admin 12 years old for a pretty unreasonable temporary block.
I'm in no way condoning his behavior against the admins but I'd imagine you'd find a perma ban for that to be a bit... too much.
If you want more details, you should probably ask Sirsolo yourself instead of doing this whole "who are you" nonsense, it's really rude. I haven't actually seen you in game either during the time I played (and I did play a lot during the time I did), so I can't imagine it's so hard to believe some people get overlooked by others.
btw, Sirsolo won't be able to reply to anything until the 24/25th or so just to let you know.

on topic though, I was always wondering what a vanilla TG server would be like, and i just couldn't imagine it working very well, even if admins were there 24/7, i think the sheer volume of vanilla players would be overwhelming. i haven't tried it though, and i didn't even know about it until now so that's just my guess.
I don't think I really want to try it either TBH. I got really sick of the whole counter-strike-type gameplay in general.
