Project Reality - CTD when trying to join a server
Hello,
I downloaded and installed Project Reality today, and - as the title of this thread implies - every time I try to join a server, the game loads, then shows the "Join" button, and before I can do anything it crashes without even giving out an error message.
I installed BF2/PR in the following order:
BF2
Booster Packs
Newest Patch
PR Core files
PR Level pack
My system specs are these:
Intel Pentium D 2,8 Ghz DualCore
2 GB Corsair RAM
GeForce 8800 GT 1GB
ASUS P5B mainboard

You have to download the levels pack from the downloads section.

Ah, forget to mention it. I installed them - right after I installed the Core files.

Did you download the full version of PR or patches? I'm not sure if both exist, but that could possibly be the problem.

Did you download the .75 patch? Its not included with the .7 core afaik.

I'm not sure if your issue was resolved but I had the same problem and I fixed it by reinstalling BF2, and redoing all the steps you listed at the top. it was annoying but it worked. if you already fixed it, great, if not, maybe this will help a bit.

Oh, thanks KORdaemon, but my issue was resolved by installing the patch.
