Re: PR 0.8 changes
It sucks that I have to leave for military school the day after .8 is released. I was really looking forward to playing it. Guess i'll have to stay on ALL day on the 30th =).

Re: PR 0.8 changes
For all you other pilots out there, you now have to LAND and RE-ARM your flares. As a CAS pilot, I usually deploy flares when on an attack run, just to make sure I'm not being locked. I think this'll make it so CAS aircraft will have to land more often between attack runs. I'll put forth more opinions on aircraft changes when the download is released so I wouldn't possibly be violating any NDAs.
Ferris and disposable, definately no lie there. Totally new game.

Re: PR 0.8 changes
We've got to remember the smaller changes not highlighted in the changelog but present in the dev journals... 3D ironsights, slower animations, correct sights on GLs, etc. Without even going into what the new maps are going to provide us, I think this release will be more significant than it seems at first.
Also, don't forget that seemingly small changes (like changing the limited kit distribution as they have, or the rallypoint and asset changes) can have surprisingly large impacts on gameplay. Remember when you needed four people in your squad for rallies instead of six? Or when you needed to request your officer kit instead of spawn with it? Or when grenades automatically played the appropriate voice binds?

New weapon discovery! The brits are no longer using the AT-4. Instead, they use the LAW-80.

It has been added to the wiki. It includes a 4x scope.
The MEC are now using a RPG 26. They used to be using a RPG-7, so major 1337 upgrade.

rpg 26 :O
Is it shorter range then the rpg7 then?It has a maximum effective range of around 250 meters.
Law is so much better then AT4, but this is how it used to be so I wonder if it got changed back because of the scope becoming standard?
Can you knife a firebase as well as bunker radios

Re: PR 0.8 changes
Manual says you can knife radios of "forward outposts", which includes firebases, IIRC. Might also include Hideouts.
I'm curious to see just how long it will take to go from knifed to "Wrecked".
With the changes in kit availability, and reallocation, death is a luxury, and The Medic finally gets his due, it would seem. Amen on that. Forget resupplying your LAT kit guy (where there will be far fewer), keep your medics in those epipens!

12:13 gmt here (London).
A 17:00 gmt or 12:00est release seems realistic to me.

Re: PR 0.8 changes
Hmm.. Going to take some time to get used to.. I just mainly want to know the Heli and Jet changes (none of which have been mentioned) and how exatly the new snipers work.. also, how many sniper kits are availible... Two worked really well for me and Kor.. not needing a spotter and all...
