I believe it 's 5, but don't shoot me if I 'm wrong. I barely use them when I can use the medic bag, it takes too long to deploy them.

Its 5.. And the best way I've used them was to throw them all down in a defensible position as a "first aid station"

Plus, I must admit that 5 Bandages looks like healing heaven.

If nobody uses them, they all stay there.

The first bandage disappears when you throw down a sixth. Medics carry five bandages, they can have all of them on the ground at once.

Back in .75, I would always be in the bottom of a tower in Mestia, throwing down patches and reloading off the ammo dump. People would walk in and they would be at 100% health immediately.

Yes. What I tend to do as a medic is talk to the downed teammates while they are down. I ask them where's the enemies and think whether I should pop smoke after Im done healing the other guy.
If Im too far away from the downed teammate who has been down for a while for a reason such as I have revived thouse close to my position I keep talking to the guy who is down and asking what's the situation over there. If it's ok to my squadleader to heal the guy I go for it but, if there's just too many enemies there I cannot do it alone without getting killed myself thus at worst case killing the rest of the squad who wont have medic around them for the next 30 or so seconds.
Sometimes I've noticed that few people have gave up too soon but it's rather rare. It's important that medic has a mic and tells the downed teammates not to give up if you are able to bring them back to fight.

    As always, buy that microphone.

i haven't read all of the post thoroughly but somewhere it was mentioned that ppl run out of "Need Medic!"-calls when wounded:

    you actually have infinite calls!!!
RIGHT CLICK on "Give up" will yell "MEDIC!!!"

btw: i agree with the stated new behavior - ppl still need to get the feeling for when to push that button!
even Squaddies tend to hit the button - altough i would tell em - "hold on"

I agree: alot Medics are not doing their job - especially not healing (e.g.: when they are idle guarding a flag)
never expect a blue guy to pick up my kit and revive me its probably a <5% chance!
I tend to forget to push the Give Up button making me wait 2 instead of 1 min

also: i like the thread title - b/c it induces a thought about rage quitting, which i actually find comon on TG

Hehe, Thanks Sniper, I like the title too, which is why I used it =P

    Just emphasizing main points:
-If you have a blue that's hurt, and greens that arn't, stay back and heal the blue. Its more then likely he's going to save your arse sometime during the game.
-Get em up, Move, then heal.
    -DONT QUIT!! =D

Re: TG is full of quitters!

oh another advice/request to the non-medic/fallen commrades:

when you need healing GET INTO COVER!
(medics tell your Squaddies before/after a revive the compass direction they need to head to, to get them where you can heal them savely - eg: "<<player_name>> head East")

as for me: I wont heal you in the open - Healing medics don't mix with bullets!

now I see how you sometimes are disoriented after you got revived - stay down and toss a field dressing if not instructed something else - while taking out the feld dressing take a look around to orientate
chances that the medic threw a smoke nade covering you are pretty good too, stay in that cover - instead of running out of it possibly exposing yourself to the enemy

if there is no smoke and bullets still keep passing by your head - go for the neares green/blue guy - chances that he is behind cover - which you could take advantage of - are pretty good too

also remember: you can't run right after a revive, so you might as well stay proned

good luck to you on the battle field and my the magic be with you

Another pointer that should be made:
Don't keep all of our eggs in one basket!

aka both medics of the squad shouldn't be healing the same guy. One grenade and the whole team is having bad times. I keep telling that to my fellow collegues but they don't seem to learn, so I run away from the guy who is being healed once the other medic comes to heal him too. Yeah sure, it's faster but also more dangerous.

Also: medics do not need to stay and heal other medics. They can heal themselves so the reviver can take care of others or provide cover.
