Re: I need test subjects
Sadly, not enough people showed up to the practices. Therefore, it didn't really occur.

Re: I need test subjects
Hey kat recently i have been running alot of Fireteam squads. I'd be more than happy to to help out to see how it works. From what ive experienced in PR is that if your squad keeps to the rules of the fireteam it works amaizing and the enemy ur in the fight with will most likely lose fast.
However most of the time ive tried doing fireteams i got people who didnt actualy know what a fireteam was. So i reckon getting a bunch of guys that know what to do, will lead to a very coordinated squad and will most likely win every firefight.

Re: I need test subjects
It sounds like less training than teaching will occur.
So make a video.
If you get enough, say 12 then do some training then set each trained squad on opposite sides and attack/defend the same point.
Just an idea

Re: I need test subjects
I thought I had answered in here already, apparently I haven't.
I might do another run. But there will be some stricter rules for showing up. or forgetting to say that you wont show up. The reason is that it is annoying to spend my time setting this up and people cant even be bothered to send me a PM saying that they can make it or cant make it to the specified time.
It will be teaching but the only way it will ever run smoothly is by doing it over and over until people don't need to think about where they need to go. As I have said this is not meant to teach things that a directly applicable to a public squad but instead things that you can do with other people that have the same training. Contrary to what many people think moving like a unit cant be taught be just giving people something to read and then go out and do it. It requires practise. If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks

True. Until that point of knowing where one should be it might appear to be a worthless endeavor.listen close

Re: I need test subjects
I have had some conn problems and don't play as much as I used to but I see a lot of good players out there.
Squads that move properly w/o any coordination, pubbie squads I mean.
Proper spacing, single man crossing of open spaces while others cover....all seemingly at random so I think the knowledge base is there to get some tight squad work in a minimum of time.
It looks like you have at least 2 recruits already and if we keep bumping this thread we get some more but with the holidays coming up scheduling might be a problem.

Re: I need test subjects
I think in the idea situation, the smallest number of verbal commands would need to be given and use of the marker system could handle nearly all orders.... save for very short single, or double command verbals.
