Re: Friendly Intraforum Competition? Free Prizes?
I play both PR and POE, started way back when they were in beta versions. My schedule usually prevents me from playing the longer drawn out games in PR, so I usually try to play it in the early A.M. hours. POE's action packed games are perfect for lunch breaks or whenever I can find 1 - 2 hours of free time.
Let's just say that your chances of winning some prizes are very high... even if you didn't win something, pm after an "event" and mention you're a Supporting Member. Who knows, you might end up with a hat for cheap (as in, "below cost"?).
Well, the idea is to make it fun and fair. I started a thread in the POE forum as a way to give back to the community. Figured I might as well offer it to the other Battlefield related forums, as a way to make it "fair".
We don't have to play on opposite teams. Both PR and POE designated squads can play on the same team, because as stated earlier, it's just a competition to gain the highest score for the squad, promote team work, and earn FREE prizes (exclusive and custom gear). We can even mix up POE with PR players into each squad. If you want, I can put you in charge of organizing this whole thing and I'll just take responsibility of shipping out the gear. I just want to give back to this great community and give out some free gear.
Why give out hundreds of dollars worth of time and some really sick gear? Why not? I'm grateful for these amazing PR / POE Battlefield Mods, because total cost for Battlefield 2, PR, and POE? $5.
I'm not sure any of you would want to "downgrade" to stock / unModded Battlefield... it's kinda plain. It may be a good idea to try it out sometime in the future, especially if we want some kind of PR vs POE competition, we can put that in the schedule, and you can help organize it, too!
As for this Friendly Intraforum Competition, it's not really that big of a deal, just an excuse to give out free gear and generate some excitement for these two amazing Mods.
You'd be surprised, many POE players also play PR. POE is only active for about 10 - 12 hours per day, so people tend to play PR at other half of the day.
Agreed! And agreed! lol.
