I still haven't got the time things figured out yet (typical lazy australian drinking beers with his cork hat)
I'm not sure if euro times will be in my time reach, unless this time is not euro oriented, which I doubt, I will get to finding out the times right away, maybe afterwards.|TG-69th|Berlancic2"Speed. Aggression. Surprise."

Berlancic,
Try this site:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedform.html
That should be 6 pm in Central Europe, 12 noon East Coast USA, 4 PM in Sydney.

Sorry I can not make it. My son left the lights on the car and I have to go boost it. It's a 45min drive to where the car is. I'll catch you next time maybe

Re: Project RCT, execute
It was a mediocre succes. We had the ten (10) man squad going for two rounds, one on Kashan 32 and Ghost train (Ghost train was the most succesfull one, though we didn't reach full strenght in numbers).
Kashan went a bit worse as it was the first map to be played as a ten man squad and therefor required a lot of early game organizing (We also got stuck in the desert pinned down by two tanks and a Vodnik). After the tanks had killed us we began our assault on the North bunker. At the bunker area we were caught between an enemy armour crossfire but eventually we made our way to an area where Fireteam Bravo could cover the front entrance of the North bunker flag while Alpha continued up to the roof. We rallied the squad inside the bunker and defended it with poor succes. We fell back to our rallies at the northernmost bunker and were pinned down for a good 15 mins by enemy armour until the infantry together with armour took us out. Our last stand was north of US outpost where we got assaulted by two enemy tanks and an AAV.
Ghost train went better since it is mostly concentrated on infantry. We assaulted a bunker using our deadly wall of death.
All in all the squad showed great patience during those two rounds. Sadly it lost interest after ghost train. There were some lessons learned during the first night and I had a lot of fun!

Re: Project RCT, execute
thanks for the reply

ahh good old kashan ... not the best map to train infantry tactics on 32 version
i imagine OGT being fun with that much fire power and the possibility to use the formations
i am looking forward to a second round of this when I got time too

Re: Project RCT, execute
dont loose hope..
i read a few chapters of this book by some army general about experiments they did in the late 90's on combined arms simulation for the army with "predicted technology". He made a comment about how the increase in sensor abilites and the speed of communication made many older commanders confused, they would send out scouting teams to confirm contacts which were picked up by electronic sensors wasting precious time, all the while the contacts which they were scouting for had moved... In that time they lost the opportunity to make a move which could most effectively counter the enemy.
This is simply an example. He went on to further discuss the nature of "micro managing" and over managing, of the change in relevant communication as well as the superiority of younger commanders in trusting the electronic information with more ease..
All in all, i mean to say that the idea to organize a ten man squad is not bad, even in PR.
But what types of things do you say? Being able to have A cover B, or various other fire-team maneuvers is one thing... But using these non arbitrarily is another. What i mean is that even if you have control over two fire-teams, what is to say that we know how to use this correctly just yet?
Having good troops which know how to follow orders and maneuver as a squad is one thing, but being able to assess the situation and move those fire-teams as to be most effective is another.listen close

I wanted to be there, but I couldn't call in sick to work. (I'm self-employed.) It was 11am my time.
