Sick of putting in the disk all the time?

You can download the !TOTALLY LEGAL! mini-image here:
    BF2 Mini-Image
To use it, you must mount with deameon tools:
    Deameon tools LITE download
Now, install deameon. In your dock down in the right hand corner of your screen, (The place with the clock), you should see a green box with a circle with a lightning bolt through it. Click it. Press device 0, then navagate to the mini-image that you downloaded. (where ever your downloads go). Now, open the mini-image and let it 'mount'. Now let it mount, then try to launch PR without the disk in. If it works, Yay! no more hassle! If it doesnt, Post in this thread with your problem.

Re: Sick of putting in the disk all the time?

I have (had) a problem with this program before. I used it for BF2 about a year ago, and everything was happy, until I bought World in Conflict. SecuROM (the copy protection used with WiC, and a lot of other games now) didn't like this, and decided that I was trying to pirate World in Conflict. Goodbye ruby computer (luckily it got fixed fairly quickly).
Be aware - even if it is legal some other software still may have issues with it.

I don't see the point if you have the disk. =/

I have this little gem: http://www.farstone.com/software/gamedrive.htm

Lets me copy any disk and make "back-up copies", as well as a whole bunch of other stuff.

I got sick of dealing with disks, so I purchased 4 DVD drives, only one ever gets switched out, the rest just have game disks that never leave.
BF3 is a good game, and when they finish it, it may even be a great game.

I wrote a post, then deleted it. This made me want to re-write it.

I have one dvd drive, and many disks. Until the day comes when I have as many optical drives as I have disks, I will continue to use D-tools and mini-images that I *gasp* download from the internet. It just makes sense. The only disadvantage is that it's much easier to lose the disks if you don't use them all the time.

Hehe, I should really use this. I don't use my DVD drive very often, I commonly joke around that it is my BF2 drive.

    Wait...

Other things go in that drive than my BF2 disc?

    The possibilities are endless!

Faster load times, less wear on the discs/drive and less switching out of disks to play different games. Doing this with Starcraft made it so that I stopped getting errors altogether and everything loads instantaneously.
Just because everyone does something does not mean that it is right to do.

I always like using No-CD cracks and mini-images instead of disks. It keeps the disks in good condition.
