Re: 8.5 patch notes
Thats a good one because it cant be over done, score matters not at all in theory but in practise you cant fail to notice that you must have screwed up at some point plus it effects who gets best squad so other people will dis you too

Re: 8.5 patch notes
How sweet is that! Sorry warehouse
, but this means that finally the team will not be deprived of urgently needed explosives because some twat feels he can pwn with a full auto rifle. Vanilla peeps were always going for it also. Even just renaming it to engineer would have solved so much. Perhaps that is what the devs have really done. Except for the special forces baret (I mean the hat, don't know if that is the correct English word for it).

Re: 8.5 patch notes
wish I could have my cake and eat it too... keep the spec ops and add engi's with fat butts and lame C4!
that spec ops kit is just so damn rad! Although, it sure would be cool if the slam timer could be changed, though. Setting a 10 second timer sure would be sweet if you were running for your life! Oh well, first they nerf my Black Hawk guns, now they take my spec ops kits. What's next, take away my bomb cars? The dev's are killing me!!!|TG-X|WAREHOUSE

Re: 8.5 patch notes
I am looking for the insurgent map addition. Last night for example as a civilian i was struck down twice by a hail of bullets from the british side shooting wildly into the area I was in.
This new addition will add a more realistic effect, and it will make the spawn time for a civilian if killed more agreeable.
Though I am hoping that the dev's implement at some point the humvees or strykers with the Mk 19 Grenade Launching System.
But that is something I will suggest and is only me thinking out loud.
I am very much looking forward to the release of .85.........fuzz can you give us a general idea, before valentines day perhaps?Randy = Ace ! - Warlab

Re: 8.5 patch notes
I don't like any of the new changes really in terms of gameplay. Yes, I like the new repair stuff, but I don't think the whole "APC-transport" only is going to work out well. Not to mention that a lot of things have been nerfed and slowed down. This is going to make new guys angry and it's going to bore a lot of people, including me. It's going to boil down to people wasting assets and such and not being able to get rides. It's going to be less shooting and more walking. The dev's seem to think that if there is a lot less of an item, it's going to be valued more. It's not going to happen, you can't force teamwork.
Just reading it is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Final verdict will be coming after I play.

Re: 8.5 patch notes
I disagree. APCs right now are poorly used most of the times in big maps like Kashan or Al Kufrah. Even more on Qwai, where the Strykers don't stand a chance against Chinese APCs and tanks. They tend to be a bit more well used in maps with only APCs such as Ghost Train or Jabal, but only as killing machines. APC stands for Armored Personel Carrier, but so far in PR they are nothing more than Light Tanks. I can count the times I took a ride in an APC to drive around maps. I think this change will make it so the APCs will be transport vehicles supporting the infantry, and not the other way around. They needed this! I may be wrong, but I think I'll like that.
As for the vehicles that spawn on the FOBs, I do like em, I just dislike their.50 cals. In maps like Barracuda and EJOD Desert, they really make a difference. In no time, you can have maybe 5 Nanjings patrolling the island. Same as EJOD, where people build FOBs in the middle of nowhere in the desert just for the vehicles. On infantry maps these vehicles are as effective as tanks if well used, and I think that's wrong. If they ever put the vehicles back, I'd love to see them without the .50s, just for pure transport purposes. I don't really know, but I do like the idea they are being removed.
As for the Logistics Trucks, this may be good too. We won't be seeing as many trucks left around the map, but in the other hand we'll need dedicated people to drive these trucks around, which I think may work. But I really don't know.
Anyways, whatever the changes are I do trust the Devs and I think they'll be good. if they're not, I think they'll listen to the players and fix/change it on a later release.
Congrats to all the DEVS and everybody from the PR team, you guys rule!|TG-69th|Kevlar
