I'll so try it out... When I am back playing PR.
Ancientman wrote the patch. Apparently, he's also the one who writes the MD5 checks

I just replaced my EXE from that FAQ post this morning but haven't played with it yet. Hopefully it will fix any crash to desktops. Last night when I was playing we started loading up Qwai and I was on Teamspeak and several of us were repeatedly disconnected from server all at the same time. quite odd.

i am getin this every now and then as well. With a computer that can run crysis warhead on max settings with 30-40 FPS average, i know its not on my end. But at the same time, i was getting this lag for about a week before 0.85 came out as well.. i also live in southern California. Possibly there is some bad internet connection somewhere in southern California where it is at a bottleneck. (i have a 10MBPS internet connection). I dono whats goin on.. but man is it annoying..

if anyone finds a solution.. i would love to hear it

The server is under extreme pressure from all the traffic from the new release. The SM script is constantly failing now. It's not hard to tell thats it's time for some new hardware.

It's not just the TG PR server. It's all of them. I haven't tried Vanilla yet to see if I crash, but I will.

I will also try the exe fix. Thanks everybody!
