Re: Late night quality?
Ghost Dog, late night/early morning US time is about morning in Europe. There is no way you are playing with Europeans when it is 12-3 am EST. At around that time ure more likely to play with Asians.

I like to play PR with the Aussies and screw with their heads since they are a day ahead, and ask them stuff in regards to the future and what not.

Re: Late night quality?
Enough of this Euro bashing, what tosh! Some of the worst culprits are whiny voiced US school kids that plague the server in droves! Try playing on the server during the US school holiday period, my god, the rage!
In addition I think you should perhaps be here a little longer before criticsing TG and a large section of its populace. Whilst it's difficult to comment on our transient visiting players we have a strong European contingent in our regular community, alll of whom I assure you 'Kick large portions of ass' as you YANKS would say lol. How dare you sir! As to the pro's who go to other servers, who are they. Everyone we've scrimmed we've stomped as far back as I can remember, a significant proportion of the scrim participants were Euro based I might add. So if there's a travelling band of better players out there I ain't seen em, at least they aren't organised in any one specific clan/commmunity.

Re: Late night quality?
On weekends, I play with lots of guys from the small island off the coast of Europe, and plenty from Spain as well. That's at about 3 or 4am PST or 6-7am EST (good lord, I need a life). I don't think I've played with any asians yet... that I know of.

Re: Late night quality?
I've been around for a month wickens, if you're referring to me, I usually get on later on at night US CNT time, for various reasons. Now perhaps its not the European players but more the asian, it makes more sense. I meant to say late night US quality is way down, not European players in general.
But heck, generalizations suck. All I know, is so do the teams at night
? is around the corner.
? did that come from.
? killed me.
? Who, What, Where. All the time.
The Question Mark.

Re: Late night quality?
Lol Im just messing with you, but yes I was referring to you! You'll probably find over time that we are in the middle of a cycle, when a new version comes out. At times the gameplay is amazing at other's its poor due to the new and inexperienced players the shiny new version of PR has attracted. Hell at late night US it should be mostly US players, there's plenty of them that suck lol!
Give it a while and you will see this pattern repeat itself, you will learn to loathe the fortunately rare calendar event of a new PR release coinciding with a school holiday! When you are on just look out for regular names, get yourself on teamspeak and start upping the teamwork ante your self. It only takes a few to get the ball rolling, that being said there are days when banging your head on the desk is the best option. Ask Dispo, he has to admin that cr*p!TG PR Admins: Fighting for YOU on the frontlines in the War on Stupidity.

Re: Late night quality?
I think EURO play is great. E1st is a great example of TG commitment to good play (even though Wickens deserted us...)... :-)
It comes and goes. Play and performance is something we cannot manage. We have to keep the public interested in the TG server and we have to keep mentoring and talking to non-TGers about our server, our way of play and our community.
Lets take this idea and use it to remind our community that we just need to do more to encourge and help players be better for the greater good of TG. Even if it is hard, it is the right thing to do.
I am going to try to help as best I can during these "off USA hours" to clean up the server when it is obvious there are problems. I ask the community to help me with identifying probelms and reporting them.
Most importantly, if you find a problem player, take the 30 seconds to 1 minute time from your game play to engage them, talk to them and let them know we have a web page, rules and a credo to live and play by. Sometimes you may find they don't even know that. We sometimes get too TG focused and forget that the whole world can get on our server.
TG is the best place to play. There is no other server for PR for me.

Re: Late night quality?
I'm gonna hafta say there's a difference in new players and newb players. As much as it does suck to have someone who is new to PR *Scarface waves his hand* and someone who saw a shiny new mod and wants to play it.
The new guy gets in and tries to be an asset to his team however he can, and the newb does whatever the heck he feel like.
But hey, TG helps the new guys and forms then into lean mean fighting machines right?

Re: Late night quality?
Being new shouldnt be a problem exactly, theres really only two valid criticisms , guys who wont follow orders even loose ones and guys who wont read the manual then ask silly questions or even worse assume this is bf2 with a new map
Unfortunately Ive fallen into both categories in my time though hopefully not too much
Getting your squad killed because you didnt realise the stryker couldnt float would rank pretty highly in noob prime time

Re: Late night quality?
Game experience may change during gameplay. The warning text on the BF2 CD-case doesn't go away just because we're playing a mod.
I kind of agree with the Euro day time hours though, I've almost only had bad experience logging on during the day(GMT+1). When I log on after 18.00 (6 pm) it's usually good though, often a little too good during the late hours. I need an ingame reminder saying: "You've been logging in for 6 hours +, time to go to bed."

Re: Late night quality?
Hello all,
Things were better today. Seemed like we had more in-TG players on during the Saturday play.
Not much we can do other than educate and lead.

Re: Late night quality?
That's a good Idea, and I didn't know that they had logs of reports.
Going CO can help a bit, but sometimes they'll just mute you. What I hate is when (although I haven't been CO, seen some stories about it) they immediately mute you because you're a commander. Or they just don't follow your orders, and end up causing the game to turn around. ***holes what they are.|TG-69th|Berlancic2"Speed. Aggression. Surprise."

. If I play at night, it 's most likely with Americans since they run 6 hours behind.
