Re: Mumble voip!
This does sound really awesome! The thing i see it helping people out with most is things that are on the Com Rose like "i need ammo", "need a medic","fall back" and mostly all the other ones. If mumble takes off and everyone starts using it, those may not be necessary any more and could make room for more useful tools.

Re: Mumble voip!
You could use Mumble for intersquad comms between groups that are close by in joint effort sort of deal.
If you see another squad 400m away and want to direct their fire, just tell the commander to relay the message. Problem solved.|TG-X|Turkish

Re: Mumble voip!
It was awesome when i used it with a bud on a server. All we need is multiple squads to use it and we're golden.

Re: Mumble voip!
The best thing would be to have everyone on the server in the same channel on mumble that way you can hear enemy's too. If you are far away from a squad mate you use voip. And you can still have all the squadleaders in a channal on ts so that they can be able to coordinate.
I think that the idea afaik, at least the one that sounds best to me.

Re: Mumble voip!

Re: Mumble voip!
So mumble for squad communications?
So there's ingame voip for CO and the squad. We also use teamspeak for SL and team coordination. The we add mumble to squad communications. I don't know about you guys, but won't this get very confusing?

Re: Mumble voip!
I am extremly positive to this! It would lower the need for TS coordination, lower the need for VOiP communication. If you have a 6 man squad going in two fire teams only the fire team leaders would use VOiP as a radio while the squadmembers communicate via mumble. If you have 12 running the two leaders of the 6 man squads could just walk up to eachother and plan out their next move... I love it, brings a lot more realism.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
