Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
While I'm no moderator, I encourage people to be more diplomatic in their posts. I don't think creating tension between parts of the TG community and TF21 will help make Project Reality any better.

How did that song go... Hum...
Cry me a river... Cry me a riverrrrrr...
Yeah, I believe it was that... You have all the right not to like it, so you should agree to me that I have all the right to disagree with you (damn, my brainz iz dizzyyyyyy now).
Yeah, it's not perfect, but it's fun. It's still a game. Yeah, it has changed, and it will keep changing... I don't like some stuff on it either, but I'm sure the DEVs are on it and it will improve/change sooner or later.
You don't like it? Honestly, who freaking cares?!
Good luck on ArmA, BF2 or whatever the hell is you gonna play other than PR.|TG-69th|Kevlar

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
I think the issue is that you are missing the entire point of the game. Like every single game out there, it's designed for fun. I think all of like the increased realism. I think we like it a lot. But I didn't download this mod because it makes me feel like uber realistic soldier or whatever. I downloaded it because It's just really good fun.

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
And it's obvious you've never seen us play prior to .85. We used 6 medics, no SL because our old (successful) tactics from .8 were completely useless in .85. We learned quickly after having our asses handed to us on Ghost Train by Cougar and friends. The following night, we used 6 medics with no SL to get a clean sweep of 80+kills and 4 deaths on Mestia, and 50 kills and 2 deaths on Asad Kahl. By self-admittance, most of my kills that night were from sprinting full auto no scopes, and knives. You will find similar results from the rest of us.
0.85 is a disgrace to the name of Project "Reality".Last edited by HellHound1812; 02-17-2009 at 01:22 AM.

What type of response do you want....
Why post a thread that is so volitile in nature if you arent trying to solicit a negative response..
I have had issues with just about every release yet,
especially ones that made my previous style of play ineffective.
But you dont see me flaming the game because of it..
No.
Do you know why??
Because I am an adult, and I realize that it is a game.
Some of your concerns will I am sure be addressed,
each version they address changes in gameplay caused by the previous version changes.
But there is a place for this, Ive given some links at the top of this post
This seems to be a greivance for the Devs..
I suggest you post it in one of the Reality Mod forums..
The tone leaves much to be desired, you might want to rethink it.
I for one am sick of the negativity...

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
I have to say that I'm disappointed at best by most of the responses here.
Guys, if you can't be at least somewhat civil in your responses to one person's opinion then keep your traps shut. It's not like he started another teamstacking thread.
You know what else? He might just be right about some things.
Now, keep the responses civil, or, if you can't do that, then just don't post.

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
I remember a thread posted by a lead DEV that they are trying to make PR a near real game [/B]But not a simulator[/b]. If you want that kind of gameplay go with Arma or some other game like that. How about you sit at your computer trying to code the battlefield 2 engine to make a fun mod for other players FOR FREE. Anyways the engine can't go that far to make everything perfectly realistic.
My 2 cents.-Craz3y-

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
While not the most diplomatic method of communicating, at the core there are some points raised that question the direction of the current and future versions of PR.
These core questions are valid and are worthy of discussion in the proper forums. Make no mistake though, .85 is closer to vanilla than .8, and even I don't think that is any improvement to the core and concept of PR. That said, there is a lot I personally like about the current mod, and at the end of the day, most rounds are experiences of value. (entertainent or otherwise)

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
Nobody was whining here actually. I saw it as a comical post, which made me laugh out loud several times.
He did now, not the response you expected I guess?
I honesty don't think anybody here hates the mod with a burning passion as you say. This long post wasn't hateful at all infact. And just because you disagree, why not be constructive and contribute to the thread instead of telling TF21 to leave and repay you the five minutes you lost. Nobody said you had to read it.
That a way to show tons of disrespect!
Like said before... Coronado wasn't crying about anything. A comical post was made and everybody flamed and bashed him into little pieces. It's a forum, a place for discussion...
I'm not going to repeat everything I have already said. It's uneeded. Each post mentioned above was completely uncalled for. Apparently humor is gone, as soon as somebody points out a flaw (minus IHS members since everybody seems to grovel at their feet) and tries to have a discussion...it is all blasphemy and needs to be taken somewhere else.
I don't understand?
My 2 cents.
By the way Coronado, I thoroughly enjoyed the post, and laughed my a$$ off the whole way through. Thanks for making my day that much better

Re: Lessons in .85: Things to Pack
"I've come to the realization that what most everything I (and other players using logic and reasoning) say will fall upon deaf ears- deaf from denial"
I think phrases like that at the opening of a statment are perhaps what gets everyone's backs up, reeks of arrogance, which may or may not be 'tongue in cheek' depending on your knowledge of the poster. I am sorry but if you want to post threads like that, well here's the news its a forum, I am actually a bit peeved at the condescending tone taken by some telling people how they can respond. People will always have a reaction to a thread like that about something they are invested in. Why should the reader have to measure their response and consider the consequence when the original poster apparently does not have to. Apparently posting in these forums is becoming a bit of a one way street where only some people are allowed to be controversial.TG PR Admins: Fighting for YOU on the frontlines in the War on Stupidity.
