Re: Learn to play PR- TG style

I would participate as a mentor but can't right now because my PC is F'ed up. Working on it so when I get back I could give a hand.

Commie I dont think that is the way. Would players have to enter their player ID on TG or be kicked since that is the only way I can think of a script that would be able to determine if people are members/have read the rules. I don't think it is the way because if you could not get to play on a server without having to regiters on their website I would not be playing there and I would think that they would just go somewhere else. Then how would the community grow? there will always be people leaving the community because of personal problems or other things but if you make it so that you can't play on the server without being a member I am pretty sure not many would join. think of where that would end up. No a mentorship program is probably the best way.
If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks

Most of the time when someone makes a LEARN-TG squad they're a good player that everyone wants to squad up with, so it usually just fills up with regulars that already know how to play.

Then those regulars should get their act together and not join the squad unless they have no where else to go

I'm with dick on this(snickers) I started out in 2142 with Learn TG squads and started many of them myself in my 2142 years. So I will be starting them again, Generally I invite 1 or 2 good players to back me up and give the new guys some one to mimic and leave the rest of the squad open for new guys. Best thing about these squads is there require no pre planning or designated times to attend(TGU) you start them on the fly and when you have time.

So besides my self any one else want to volunteer there time to help out.

Apart from the regular "Learn TG" squads for public, my aim was to provide 1 to 1 mentoring. So if you want to be mentored or be a mentor, just send me this PM, and I'll be like a match maker ( Cilla Black) to try and get you sorted out. Just copy and paste the form, with your details included:

im trying to teach some of friends some tactic i learned and created on the server.

they dont have a good knowledge of english, like me, if they ever join one of your squad , they will try to follow orders best they can, but if you see them squad up together and do something stupid, just forgive them please. ill try to wacht them as best on my side.

Pr takes sometimes to get used to, and especially on the tg server.

to get back to topic, i would like some of you to wacht over patjones, guitarzigzag and sometimes mikejones.

Been playing exclusively TG since September/October of 07, many TG regulars didn't sign-up as soon as they discovered the community, pwn3ge.

This is a splendid idea, seen it work effectively with other games. I actually remember being a squadie in one of those LEARNTG squads back in the day when I first found this server, I learned a lot.
