Re: Learn to play PR- TG style
This is a fantastic idea, but wouldn't it be better hosted on a training server?

Brian655 Sounds a good idea. I have been using BF2 for quite a while and have reached the rank of Gunnery Sgt. I have only been using PR for a few weeks and boy what a difference, I enjoy the squad mentality and would love to learn more.

Yup, pretty much when I filled out the form here, Browna3 responded to me in a PM and we're gonna get together sometime this weekend!
The thread works!!!

Re: Learn to play PR- TG style
I teach a bunch of people.
I also kick a bunch of people. I've educated a lot of folks recently, and given up on more.
Common sense is a huge factor, as is tactical sense, and strategic sense in this game.
As long as people listen, and have common sense, we get along fine. If they miss one of those, I remove them from the group. (THen they usually end up slamming me in chat. Sigh)? is around the corner.
? did that come from.
? killed me.
? Who, What, Where. All the time.
The Question Mark.

Re: Learn to play PR- TG style
I think also instructing players on the proper uses of the kits, if you end up assigning them to one is another beneficial factor.
For example, quickly saying how you would like to have the H-AT used if that player is tasked with using it is very supportive, or even if they ask during a round which is a seeder or skirmsh with mostly if not all infantry that H-AT use shouldn't be spammed or even used unless it is such a dire circumstance that it needs to be, is a step in the right direction, and you will see that the players who want to listen will, I have met a bunch of new people lately and only maybe 1 or 2 out of 20-25 have I had a problem with.
Even letting squad mates know what to do if u place the several different markers for advancing/observing is a quick and easy way to have everyone on the same page.
Allow questions to be asked if need be, obviously in depth questions are going to be hard to answer under constant fire but during preparation for fire teams/setting up a defensive perimeter/getting ready to attack is a good time to make sure everyone is on the same page.
If I am unable at the time to answer directly what questions are given, and even during or before they are asked letting the player(s) know about www.tacticalgamer.com is the best way, and promoting the server and team speak only helps promote active mature game play that in the end benefits everyone.Randy = Ace ! - Warlab

Re: Learn to play PR- TG style
not got into PR yet (installed it and have it sat on my desktop), only just got back into BF2142 and BF2 after a bit of a hiatus.
I've been having some PM chatter with Browna3 recently so may well be making a foray into PR, but I'm working on my basics in BF2 and 2142 first
