Ok, I can't just let you guys keep talking about my baby and not get involved. Right now I'm too busy with the IWS and my own real life stuff to organize another event like the previous Death Race. However, I will be freed up at the end of the month, and in May you will likely see me stepping up to get more active in organizing events of this nature.

I assure you. Disco's Death Race will return in.... Death Race II: The Return of Death Race.

    Fighter... I do love you...

Ok well our concepts so far include
    _____________________________

    - Death Race -- Dirt Bikes and or Logistic Trucks, first one to finish or alive wins.

    - Hostage Rescue -- Save the Noob pilot that got captured by terrorists before time runs out.

    - Off-road Challenge -- Dirt bikes or Techy/Humvee challenge navigating terrain and trying to win, on maps with mountainous terrain i.e. Fools Road.

    - ********************************* -- A comment about fighter and Randy's relationship goes here... jk
    __________________________________________________ __________________________

Now as for dates, I am thinking with Disco that we work after April so in May or so when the IWS has ended. Its too much to coordinate another private event while we have Sunday events going on. But when we do have it, I'm thinking of a Saturday morning (CST) something like that, I'll try to make it accessible for most players.

Thanks and keep those ideas a coming. ^^

Hostage rescue could work. BUT being hostage would be very boring. UNLESS they can attempt to escape.

They would be able to try up to 3 times. On the third try the Takers can kill them.

Kozelsk. Tunnel Complex 200m. Chechens hunker down. Five minutes later, Russians invade.

    The catch?

    Knives only.

No bayonets, smoke grenades permitted. Teamspeak is a requirement.

That was my worry on page one. I like the idea that they could try to escape.

I think being the hostage would be great fun and i would love to do it - you can try to escape, annoy your captors, and get to be rescued eventually (or executed if it doesnt go too well!). although there is plenty of time spent waiting there is plenty to occupy you.

just a thought: what about using mumble during the hostage thing? Then the hostage could talk to the terrorists, and call out for help when the U.S get close - it would be great.

    Re: Brainstorming for an Event

Have you found an admin to sponsor your idea? I was wondering if you have contacted anyone to arrange a time/date to test out your plan.

I am sure if you have a good plan that the admin team will be ready to support the actual nuts and bolts of doing it.

Let me know if you have progressed past discussion and want to start talking about setting up time on the server to do an event.
