Get a Visa Gift Card at your local Grocery store, walmart and sears sell those for sure, take a 50$ or 25$ one (i took 25$ first to make sure it works).

then activate the card as it says in the lil manual that comes with it, so you enter your name and adress so the card is good for online shopping, then go to paypal and just add that giftcard like you would add a credit card. It works! thats how i get my SM! altough for every of those gift cards the activation fee is like 5$, so at the counter you'll be paying 50$+5$+tax.

I think the main issue is the money transfer across the pond.
