Then you really don't have much to contribute to a thread about tagged TG members not following the rules...

Don't mushrooms mainly feed on decaying material and poo?

Re: It’s time to start enforcing the rules on TG tagged players.

Mushroom, aka essplode, i find it ironic that you do sport the TG tag though I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not when you implied that you have not "read the rules" from the stance and your tone in your posts I am going to go with the notion that you don't completely understand what wearing the TG tag is about.

That being said and not to detract from snooggums original point I would seriously advise you to read the primer, forum rules and the rules for whichever game you participate on which is hosted by tacticalgamer.com and deciding for yourself if in fact you feel you want to voluntarily add the |TG| tag to your in game name. Rather then give my personal opinion on the matter you can make your own decision.

I also do want to further add that bf2cc has logs, and though an admin who is on might not automatically see your !reporting post, 10 to 1 he or other admins will in fact read the logs after and/or review the bfr's and catch the twerp committing the alleged infraction.

However !reporting goes as far as you wish to take it, many of you use TS in game, even mumble now since it has become a interesting addition to the PR experience, but rarely have i seen players asking to speak to an admin quickly in the TS channel or in the admin channel associated with PR, or even in mumble.

yes using the !reporting system is the way that you are asked to single that you need admin assistance with a problem player, but ther is also TS, mumble in certain cases and as others have posted PM'ing an admin with Screenshots from the current game or from the bfr with a summary of which infractions took place.

Merely stating: "don't take that plane man the CO didn't authorize you to do so, or stop shooting me" in global or team chat and then complaining "admin how come you didn't kick him" or "are there admins on here i got tk'ed on purpose" really doesn't do anything but add to the problem at hand. Even if you are a third leg witness to an infraction and you can obviously realize that a squad member in your squad or on your team has not visited the forums or cannot take the time to read the green letters scrolling across the screen in regards to reporting, help them out, explain to them what to do, and how to further ask for assistance etc.......

^The above in regards to |TG| tagged players and those who do not sport |TG| tags.

I do agree with you snooggums and it is something as TG regulars and members of the forums which we can do to help the admins.

I do have a separate question which is kind of related to this forum but might not be, though I am unsure. Is it proper etiquette as a regular on the TG server to inform a player that his/her tags are incorrect, or should it be spoken to an admin before suggesting to the player that he/she is incorrectly wearing the TG tag. I don't mean to ask this to ruffle any feathers, but was just curious just with some experiences of players wearing a TG tag, in most cases incorrectly and doing so to try to have an upper hand.....

Sometimes a stern sentence can change the demeanor/action of a player in a second, I sure know it did with me.

How is this even germane to the discussion? There are no rules regarding teamstacking, so how is it to be addressed? Again, there are a million topics on this conversation that already exist, so let's not hijack this thread to start another 10 page argument that is going to go in circles with everyone saying the same thing that they've said in other posts.

I saw 8 10th members on the same team yesterday.

2 of them were using assets and they won the map.

thus teamstacking is on the rise again

i'm all for instant kicks/bans to TG tag wearing players. They should uphold the code of conduct and the rules. If someone hasn't read the rules yet is still wearing the tag then tey shouldn't wear them. If they get kicked then its their own fault for not reading the rules

People aren't taking issue with your name, they're taking issue with your attitude. People who play on the TG server and participate in this community are expected to know the rules, especially those who wear the |TG| tag. And I know for a fact that you used to wear the tag.

I support heavier enforcement of reportable offences, even if I get caught in the net on occasion, I don't mind the direction and focus applied to me regardless of wether I wear the tag or not.

The TG tag should be respected for who wears it, not for what it is. Right now it doesnt mean much but to help make teams appear stacked.

People that put on the |TG| tag should be held to a higher standard than pub players in my opinion

I understand the notion of the |TG| tag being completely voluntary, but maybe we can implement a R&U that you can sign and state your in game name. - I don't mean or intend to try and micromanage the PR server, but it might also cut down on those players who have never visited www.tacticalgamer.com and simply put on the tags to make it seem that they can be "above the law."

Re: It’s time to start enforcing the rules on TG tagged players.

    Why are there compromises?

If a player breaks the rules, they deserve punishment. If a player wearing TG tags does not uphold the primer, an admin needs to address the matter with said player.

Consider an admin's warning an LOC.
    Consider a kick/temp ban a LOR.
Consider a ban/perma ban your ticket out of wearing the TG tag, and if necessary, TG as a whole.

Why is there such a grey area in any of this? Because we want to make friends with everyone? If someone refuses to play by the rules or the primer, why are we interested in keeping their likes around?

    Less butthurt, more ban hammer.

I prefer to leave it the way it is. That way if they do break the rules players can find themselves sitting in the penalty box for an extra week or two (or five, ten, etc.)
