    Ribbons - 6/11/2009

Please congratulate your fellow gamers for their outstanding achievements both on and off the virtual field of battle!!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    Who: |TG E-49|Orpal
What: Jet Combat Specialist, Class I

    Nomination:
    What?
    Distinguished Jet Combat

    Where?
    Kashan Desert, May 24, 2009

    How?

Great flying, both support choppers and jets.

We were on Kashan when Orpall joined the squad with the MEC attack chopper (little bird type). He was excellent at spotting and killing. First wiping out a sniper we spotted for him on the East ridge by bunkers. He then went directly into tank spotting mode, pointing out advancing tanks for us and the tank squad. He pointed out an advancing AA vehicle for us on the same East ridge, so when he popped up BOOM with the HAT. It was beautiful. His ability to spot directly influenced the movements of the entire team (at about 15 players) for over 1 hour. He was great in the bird.

Next Orpall took the frogfoot – amazing performance. We were in bunkers moving from south to north when we encountered a full infantry squad in the ditches on the way. I called for support and placed a marker. In about 15 seconds all hell broke loose and he wiped them off the map in 1 pass. It was probably the most beautiful thing I have seen on PR to date. I was less than 50 meters away and his accuracy was really something to see. The bodies flew everywhere and the sound of the gun was frightening. He continued to kill with the plane for a good 30 – 40 minutes.

Next we needed transport to South Outpost. Orpall flew us down 2 times with 3 or 4 crate runs. He was always patient, waiting for the SL call and hovering behind the hills. He was on time and accurate, helping me get a fire base up at South Outpost and subsequently the win.

Orpall flew for about 3 hours. His dedication and skill were critical to winning the map and the rapid transition of our team from bunkers to outpost to the win.

I know this is a mix of chopper and jet, but his jet performance was really the best part I thought.

I think he deserves the Distinguished Jet Combat ribbon for his exploits.

    Who: |TG-Irr|BetterDeadThanRed, |TG| Guybrush_3pwood, Justplay[1991]
    What: Armor Specialist, Class I

    Nomination:
    What?
    Distinguished Armor

    Where?
In a usual game on Kashan desert map. Game Project Reality.

    When?
    May 25, 2009

    How?
During our game we had 6 people (2 of them are not registered in these forums) in a tank squad = 3 tanks. All of the tanks worked together and stayed together and by doing that we defeated no less than 7 tanks, 7 bradleys, 3 FB, 2 or 3 blackhawks and tons of infantry. Once someone saw a US tank (we were on the MEC team) every gun was pointed at that tank within a few seconds and it never had a chance to even hit us. We also helped capture most of the flags. This whole teamwork helped our team succeed and win against the other team.

    What: Valorous Unit, Class I

    Nomination:
    Where:

    Fools Road

    When:

    Saturday 30 May about 20:00 GMT+1

    How:

The random flag setup was: the flag in A5, the hill in A8 (Hill93) and warehouse.
I started the squad with the name 93, to keep them away from capping this flag. At main it was the quickest leaving i have ever had, everyone followed my orders with the kits and within 1 min we were going to 93 with a technical. There we got our technical in position, made a rp, made the setup for our defence.
Then we had multiple attacks from train and directly north. We kept them away. With our teamplay we had only a few death, our medics kept us alive. When our rp was overruned we were able to make a new one cause all squadmembers followed my orders.

Then the flag at warehouse was grey, within a few seconds everyone was in the technical and we were going on the ridge to warehouse. My squad followed my order to not attack, only stay in cap zone.

Unfortunately all other squads got taken out at warehouse cause their whole team was then there. We kept our position west of warehouse while multiple enemy squads attacked us. We destroyed their fb west of our position and overruned a rp.
I almost only had to give attack markers and my squad killed almost everything that was attacking us. Our medics kept us alive und also killed the enemys that stayed alive before reviving. This was one of my best playing experiences in short range combat with this squad and i enjoyed it.

We had a k/d ratio about 90:35 with a great teamwork.
If all squad would work like this, it would be utopia of gaming.
I want to thank this squad to give me more than 1 hour of best experience of playing pr.
