    Restricted kit tips and tricks.

Note: Don't use this information to try to come up with exploits, this is meant to help people use the kits that they are supposed to have access to in accordance with the PR teams implementation of limited kits per squad.

Each squad should have these limited kits available at any given time:
    Auto Rifleman
    Medic

Some issues that can come up that cause your squad to lose your limited kit.
-Being revived near another kit, causing you to pick up that kit. Once alive you cannot switch away from the limited kit in the menu so noone else in the squad can request.
-Choosing to request another kit, such as crewman, while you have the limited kit selected in your menu. Until you die and can deselect the limited kit noone else in your squad can request the kit.
-Someone in the squad had a limited kit, but chose to leave and join another squad. Goodbye kit, no one in the squad can select the same kit.
-The enemy picks up your limited kit when you are shot.

    Who has the kit issues:
-Your normal medic is shot and someone else uses his kit to revive the former medic, the former medic cannot respawn as a medic until the helpful squadmember gets rid of the kit. Same issue with someone who picks up a squad mates Auto Rifle.

    Solutions:
Best solution for lost kit due to being revived with wrong kit - have the person who originally requested the kit go to a crate and request the kit they have selected so another member can pick it up (tested).
Second best - when the person is shot again make sure to wait 30 seconds and let the revive area clear of kits before reviving a second time (tested).

Best solution for squad member who gets a new requestable kit such as crewman - have the person request the kit for someone else in the squad when they can (tested).

Best solution for the enemy taking your kit - go kill the emeny and get it back! (tested!)

Best solution for a squad member who leaves with a limited kit - Contact them via chat and have them make sure to deselect the kit upon next death. If they will take a role that will keep them from dying (like going commander) ask if they will suicide and select a new kit if there are plenty of tickets.
Second best - Disband your squad and create a new one (not tested, rumored to not work as it may be tied to squad number).

Although it can be situationally helpful to pick up a squadmember's limited kit remember that it will change the dynamics of the squad if you cannot get to a crate to straighten out the issue. If you do need to straighten out the kits later on please request a crewman or pilot trading kit so that you don't keep another squad from requesting a HAT or Grenadier (etc). It's also polite to not pick up another friendly squad's limited kit as this may not allow them to respawn with that kit (not tested but reported as such).

If anyone has definitive answers on the not tested sections please add them in.

Bonus tip: In .86 you only need the SL and one SM to place a rally. If you are going to build something have the SL and one member spawn, take the supply truck to the location and then place a rally for the rest to join. The SM could grab one of the request only kits kits if needed and if so make sure it isn't the AR or Medic
Just because everyone does something does not mean that it is right to do.

    Snoggs,

This might be best suited for the tactics and tips part of the Battlefield 2 Forum/Under the 1 minute tactical tips, or even create a new thread titled "Restricted Kit Tips and Tricks"

    mind also posting it there?
