    - Heck yes

    - because it gives better intersquad and intrasquad communications instead of hearing everyone on the same team speak at once you can direct your speach to all or just those around you.

    sometimes

I use it when populated or when I know a 2 or 3 guys who are going to be using it.

I've started mumble squads in server, but less than half that join actually have mumble.

Mumble is awesome, but it should be all or nothing, imo.

    NO

I have problems with conflicting software it seems and I am too lazy to fix it. I also don't like the extra comms while I am playing. I think if I did ARMA I would do it for sure or some other communications package. I feel in PR it is better for me to flow with the battle on a map planning level than to engage in closer in tactical chat. I don't like having to filter out the unnecessary mentally to derive my battle plan.

    Yes

Cause it's fun and I like to have fun. Also, greatest round I had with it was with me as medic and another squad leader semi dead in the woods close to me. For some reason, his health icon didnt show up, but I could hear a very faint "Bandaid" in the distance. I run over to find him, revive him, and send him on his merry way. I thought it was kinda...realistic. Not so much of "Oh crap, he can't hear me. He's in the Leadership channel (or what have you). Oh and he gave me 2 cookies for healing him.

    -Yes I use mumble
    -(level of necessity going down) Because;
I like to talk with team mates, if i use mumble i dont clutter squad comms if i walk near the person.
It allows communication between the Blu and greens. ('hey dont step into that mine')
Brilliant Communication between SLs, while still being able to talk to Blu SMs

the only reason i dont see it being used is that loads of people from TG are in TS for other games so its easier to use TS

Thanks for the sig Bandaid (look at how well made my avatar is!)

    - It's a great tool for communication but i wish it was incorporated better into the game like in ARMA. I also think we need to make better guidelines on what to use where if we're gonna start having more usage of it. Juggling ingame voip, ts and mumble can get confusing when everybody is talking. But i have hopes we can use mumble in the future.

    Re: Quick Mumble Poll

Yes (but not all the time at moment, as TS, because of both computer and ISP performance).

I use it as I think it is a definate asset for a good comunication source with in-game voip: in a local surroundings 'environmental' level, in the game. I believe it harmonises with TS or/and Commander as these are much better for communication: on a map level. Problems: Randy explains well the plusses and negatives especially in TS and its chatter. Similar to TMAN as he explains the predicament of all three very well and at this point am in the same position and agree. It raises my question of practicle usability until Mumble has worked through usability issues in its coms/filtering and ease of use for technophobes like me. Definately an asset to the game and gaming experience, as dscussed.

    Re: Quick Mumble Poll

    Yes.

I think its a great way to get some more teamwork and realism on random public servers.

But I can understand that a lot of TG players think its unnecessary since you guys always use TS and been having teamwork between squads for ages. But its more then that. Like once when my heli was shoot down on muttrah but I survived, so I linked up with Cougars squad who was all on mumble and they helped me to get into a safe location so that I could get a pick up. Sure you could do this on TS but it wouldn't have the same realistic feel to it.

    -Yes I use mumble

-lower latency than ts or bf2 voip (near instant)
    -much higher quality than ts
-positional audio adds to immersion and realism
-helps greatly when performing platoon operations (multi squad organized movements)
-ease of use when communicating with other squad leaders on your team

It brings something totally new to the game, that eg. TS only offers only a fraction of.

    Yes I use Mumble.

I look to see if anyone is on when I start PR.
If the Mumble server looks empty I'll exit Mumble but otherwise I run it and love it !

    Yes.
Allows me to communicate to a single a individual, so everyone on TS doesnt have to hear me shout "on the left". Its the same reason Arma has a directional and group voip.

    No

Tried it for about a week and even on PW nights, I saw only about 5 people using it. TS and in game VOIP seem to work just fine so I dont see a need for additional stuff.
