Re: Goodbye?
The original post was to inform people that I wouldn't be playing for some time until I could get PR to run on my Macbook Pro.
The thread is based on me trying to get PR installed and when I'll be able to play again. Instead of making a new thread in Tech/Support or making a new thread to say 'I'm back!' I figure I'd just update this thread.
Discussions have arised, like how dave mentioned he plays PR on his Mac, and since it's of interest to me and is still somewhat in the vein of this thread, I'm continuing a discussion with him about it. It in no way means that I am now spending the next 14 pages of the thread asking the question 'HOW DOES I INSTALL PRS ON MY MAC'

Re: Goodbye?
Well, final update and this thread can be now 'put to rest', as it were.
PR runs. Awesomely. Running all high, dynamics are on low for now, and the machine very easily handles that at 100fps+ at times. I haven't gotten into big combat or anything, but so far I have only been able to put it below 50 fps by putting my face into an incendiary. So it looks to be running pretty darn well; it's already faster and higher-graphic'd than my desktop rig.
However, I do still need to get a mouse and headset, so it may be a little bit before I really start playing regularly.
I do, however, have one major issue at the moment, which is the fact that I cannot recieve VOIP at all. Don't know if it's BF2, Vista, or the Mac.
Unless TG's VOIP got killed again, which I doubt, but I asked others to try to talk over VOIP ingame, so it seems like it would be working. We'll have to see.
I'll be sure to post a thread in tech-help. (Dave, if you read this, have you ever had an issue with receiving VOIP in game? If so, PM me or look into the tech-help section.)

Re: Goodbye?
Hey Celes, I saw you at the end of the game on Fools Road, I'm the guy who revived you, right at the end of the game.
Good to see you got your mac running PR.
