Let's say you round a corner and see an BLUFOR guy walking right towards you. His instinct, like most, is to go prone right away. Instead of returning fire, you go back around the corner quickly and pull the pin on your RKG. Pop out from the corner again, throw it at him, and pull back into cover. If the RKG lands near your target, he is dead instantly and you've just got yourself a BLUFOR kit.

I'm also skeptical about the whole handle rotating in mid air = less damage thing, because in my experience every direct hit with an RKG on a HMMWV/Truck always results in it's instant catching of fire or explosion. However, I'll have to take your word for it until I try it myself.
I'm the same way actually, my favourite kit to pick is the ak74u and rkg when I "go shopping". One toss of the rkg into a room and a full mag then I usually find myself the proud owner of a Blufor kit in short order.

Another trick I've used several times as BluFOR is a twist on the insurgent civi lure. I take a high value kit with a noticeable firing noise such as a SAW or sniper rifle and setup on it. It draws insurgents like flies for some very easy kills/intelligence.

I've had mixed results with the RKG but since the last patch I just chuck the damn thing at their feet and it usually gets the desired result. I've also been killed by an RKG grenade hitting me in the chest yet actually failed to kill an oponent when doing same?! On vehicles, mixed results but more vehicle kills with 1 hit (since latest patch) when they are moving and occupied bizarrely.

    Nice, +.

I personally prefer SKS, followed by Ak-47. Can't aim with the AK-74 irons too good, and the Ak-74u, recoil combined with high ping doesn't mix so good.

Einfield sniper is awesome, according to evidence. You can move, then instantly go into stance, wait 3 seconds and you score a direct hit wherever aiming. I think that bang on target is effective to 300m, not the sniper itself.

Yeah. The normal round 'battle sight' is set to 300, as that was deemed the normal firefight range. After that you flip up a rectangular sight, which had the adjustable 'peep hole' you would align up instead. The Lee Enfield rocks and I believe was the sniper rifle of the British up to the 60's and perhaps even longer.

No need for magnification, just a twisty thingy on top that made the peep hole go up and down, I say!

I love my technical knowledge of guns ^^ Though I know this rifle is uber.

In game, I think it needs tweeking, on the bolt action/recoil thing and it will be more closer to the real deal.

Find a nice defensible cache, make a squad with 6 sappers, and plant IEDs, mines, and traps till the sun go down. IEDs max at 10, mines max at 30, and i dunno what nade traps max at, so careful.

Also, SKS is win. I just finished a Basra round wherein I killed 4 enemies on a roof (below me) with 1 SKS clip (I do believe it's a stripper clip, yes?). Fun toys.

The AK47 is a gift from Allah. Use it by moving in close where their Scopes are much less effective. keep pushing in close and don't give them the range advantage.

I love Korengal. It's so much fun to to run around as a medic with the Lee Enfield. It makes you act more of a medic then a Rifleman with the ability to heal and revive....Oh wait...

I love allocating the sapper kit and placing IEDs, mines and I have finally gotten the hang of using the sks, not completely but now at least I know i am getting some body shots on the other team.

I think the SKS is underrated. It's does a pretty good amount of damage with being deadly accurate and with hardly any recoil. Long-range nightmare, without the silly scope of course.

    Good points Snoogums!

I think insurgency is a nice diversion from the normal AAS maps but having them too often on the map rotation can be tedious (especially since they tend to be long games).

Yeah I had this on Basrah. I had managed to kill an enemy squad leader with an IED. (I saw a full squad heading my way, so it was a good opportunity to ambush.) I let the IED rip and I saw a medic around the corner with his epipen in his hand, I naded the body and he ran straight into it! Though the enemy SAW got me in the end. :d

But yes, that tactic definitely works, I've done it many times before. The molitov also works great, as in that case, the medic cannot even reach his team mate. - However what I like doing is killing an infantry, and letting the medic revive his team mate, then killing the team mate he revived and landing some shots on the medic. (Though it doesn't always work out)

If you need a an ironic statement to suggest the Lee Enfield is a poor quality gun, as much as it helps poor quality Medics in a game do their job, let me allow you to read why many feel this is a classic amongst guns in real life:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Enfield

My bad on the fact that it was the standard sniper rifle of the British till the mid 80's and not the 70's as I hestitantly presumed.

It is not lost on me the fact it has been in the hands of people in real life doing real war than some pumped up 'this is a medic in a game' comment. It's insulting to all soldiers who have had to find out the real facts of war instead of some pup comment in a forum, where friends will back up by backtalk. Also the fact it it is still in service 100 years after its creation and the very fact that British and other servicemen are yet again in Afganistan. Add those I met who fired this weapon in real combat, and all those that have all through the years, and all the deaths both sides, and all the inhumanity the world over, and all the devistation to lives, and all the real twisted up lives, makes me think your comment at best stupid, especially since it purports to suggest a 'TG way', in this gaming forum by such an ironically sick comment about 'team work and thinking of others' in a 'community' and 'way to be' for 'people', putting others down.

I shalln't even go through to mention examples of devistation and how real life affects people - I have too much respect for these people: Suffice to say, such non-existent humility from your words sicken me.

Drop it. And any back talk from anyone, especially your friends or you will only disgust me even further.

If this is angrily posted, I could have not said a thing and let your highandmightiness rule the Ifeelfine roost. No.

Taipan, what the hell are you getting upset about mate. I think Axis is basically saying he doesn't like the 'in-game' representation of the Lee Enfield, can't shoot with it, which I can vouch for lol, (only joking Axis) and therefore remembers to fulfill his primary function of actually healing and reviving teammates. Something I see a lot of medics forgetting in the heat of the moment. Now unless I am missing some hidden, deeply insulting sub-text I think you need to reholster your verbal six shooter and take a step back buddy. Very unlike you to get so hot under the collar old bean!

I took his statement to mean he felt more like a rifleman with the ability to heal (he said more like a medic...oh wait).

I think it was Nardini a month or so ago that was just slaying enemies as a medic in my squad on Korengal, that rifle kicks ass.
