I still stand by my previous saying.... still missing something that 0.7 had...

FH 2 is okay... the models are a bit.. odd... as in misproportioned making them look almost cartoony... the respawn system is poor choice I think with the spawn on the officer. Essentially taking the officer out of the combat role other than to serve as a spawn point.
The lack of a medic system other than the bandages is also highly irritating with the constant "1 bullet, dead, run from main again" realistic but annoying.. xD

I agree, and the only thing I can think of is the spawn system. There seems to be no reinforcement lines. Just stuff spawning all over the place, really quickly, and death match happening from all directions. Still a great mod if you play it for what it is, and not wishing that it was more like your favorite game (PR of course).

With the maps being so small you cant really get tactics involved. It's just another run of the mill WWII arcade shooter...

Not really: 1) It's free 2) the quality if amazing (weapons, sounds, etc.) 3) New content is always being added. etc...

Map size can't be the reason why there is tactics or not... people playing the mod are. This is not PR and it was not intended to be a WW2-PR so why compare it? There is place for tactics: dogfights or tank battles (single players always lose when you team up on them), well placed assets like a deployable MG or a AT gun can wipe out the opposing team, use of barrages and other arty is great for tactics, good squad tactics and communication do have there importance an can be very rewarding.

In all, that's why I really want a FH2 night to prove that this mod is worthy of a TG server. The mod ain't perfect, but if we get are community involved, we could impact the next release: I would like to see RPs like in PR for instance.

I can agree with you there. The chance of teamwork on pub servers is so small due to this very reason in my opinion.

It is my understanding that they sacrifice realism in order to be more like BF1942. Even going as far as using similar sounds from BF1942.

Nixon, I disagree, as a single infantry unit, alone with a Thompson I managed to wipe out around 10-15 players and cap a flag, alone and I've seen many other players do the same.

There's an issue with dolphin divers too with pinpoint accuracy and the fact that it takes about 4-5 machine gun bullets to drop something.

Well, the current spawn system and map size makes it a very spammy game. This, combined with one shot kills for almost everything (including armor) makes it a frustrating game and leaves little room for teamwork.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful and well done mod. I like to play it from time to time and have played with other TGers. I just can't take more than an hour of it before being angry.

Desmo I can understand that, except why keep SL spawning since it wasn't in 1942?? Don't make sense to me...

    Normandy 1944 Forgotten Hope 2

Forgotten Honor Tournament presents the first campaign playing Forgotten Hope 2.2: Normandy 1944.

In previous campaigns we have fought in the deserts of northern Africa, in the hills of Greece and in the towns of Italy. In this campaign we will move to France and fight on the beaches and the lush green countryside of Normandy. From frantic fighting on the beaches and ambushes among hedgerows to large scale engagements between tanks and airplanes.

Throw yourself in the mud for cover, fight through hedgerow after hedgerow, brace for shellshock as the ground around you is pounded by artillery fire and have faith in your company mates when you assault your objective. Every week your team's skills and planning will be tested against an equally determined foe.

When you join this campaign, Forgotten Honor: Normandy 1944, you will experience:

    - Forgotten Hope 2 at its best in Normandy

    - 128 players fighting for victory in battles raging over 2 servers at the same time

    - Great new unseen maps not released to the public

    - Coordinated teamplay between infantry, armour and air force

    - An improved and more realistic way of spawning on the battlefield

    - Promotions and rewards for your achievements

    - New friendships with likeminded people from all over the world

    - It is free, and everybody is welcome

    Join the Forgotten Honor Campaign

Forgotten Honor Tournament has a wide experience in arranging campaigns for Forgotten Hope 2 and many other games. We are an international online community of players, created by players, run by players and maintained by players. We always strive to make the best campaigns for you, and our team of organizers and talented mappers are proud to announce this campaign open for signups. Both the allied and the axis side eagerly await your enlistment and will gladly guide you to victory.

That's what I thought. Maybe I need new glasses or something.

Since PR is a mod for BF2 and FH2 is a mod for BF2 it only makes sense to advertise its existance to people who own BF2 to see if they'd like to try it.
