i was playing the first hour of falluja and it was great!
but tbh the time was not really euro friendly..or at least not banana friendly
the set time was 2000gmt that's 9 pm for me.. we actually started to play at around 9:30-10:00 pm and i was able to play a maximum of 2 hours cause of school the next day, maybe it was just me, but anyways good round.
insurgency pw night was a great idea.

    Re: Insurgency Night

I only got to play a couple hours of Archer but the part I played was very enjoyable, wish I could have made it in earlier.

With gameplay being so different on each side would there be any interest in a double feature (same map twice with the teams switched) if we get another insurgency night? I know some people still hate to play a second round on the same map even if the game is completely different from round to round so the teams might not be consistent, but I would love it.

    I'd suggest:
Single round of Ramiel to populate.
    Fallujah
    Fallujah
    Al Basrah
    Al Basrah
    Op Archer
    Op Archer
Just because everyone does something does not mean that it is right to do.

I think them being so close is just asking for ragequits from people, unfortunately.

Although I like the idea of playing the map from both sides, it's not going to work too well being so close.

Besides that fact; We usually don't get past 2-3 maps on a PW Night... and on insurgency, that was the case again.

Maybe a PW night where we play one seeder map, then one back-to-back faceoff on another, then back to a 'normal' rotation of the night's list. For instance, using last night's maps:

    (Seeder) Asad Khal
    Fallujah West
    Fallujah West
    Karbala
    Operation Archer

That way, we have the chance to play the back-to-back, but it doesn't dominate the night causing any 'boredom' from playing the same maps over and over.

INS were on the road to victory by the end.

Please don't repeat maps in future maplists guys, its really boring if both rounds last around 2 hours each, spending 4 hours on the same map would not be good.

Is there any chance you could make INS night on Saturday or more EURO-friendly?

    Re: Insurgency Night

The rocket attacks on Karbala were really a sight to see. For a second you could almost picture the rockets as Arrows lit on fire swooshing through the air, or at least that's how I pictured it for a few seconds.

The only real caveat I had was the amount of bitching and moaning in global on Fallujah in regards to the teams, etc. The teams were even, and if players had looked at the map instead of driving where ever they pleased we would not have accumulated 20+ deaths in the first ten minutes, nor would both caches been revealed, especially by those who felt they were entitled to spawn at unknown caches and fire from them or meters away from them.

All in all it was a lot of fun, the insurgent team started off really sluggish on Fallujah, but we ended up playing as a team really well after about an hour or so, which included having some really good firefights and some good ied/mine explosions which didn't include friendly vehicles.

I had a lot of fun, as those who were in my squad saw first hand, I enjoy playing the sapper kit option. I hope to take part in another Insurgency PW day/night event soon.

The server crashed, thus there is no BR file...

I thought that usually means the BR file gets cut off, so the BR ends where the server crashed

    Ahh, that old nutmeg Balance:

I'm pretty amazed at the speed in which the American continent lot get online considering their timezone and what time of day it is there especially in workdays (5pm or even 4 start I believe). In all I think we're pretty lucky.

In weekdays mostly feel sorry for the ones that get the real trouble, as alluded to in another thread: the guys in Asia/the Antipodes.

However, for the Sunday Roasting, I do guess an hour or two's start for the Euro mob, especially CET time would be thanked, since we stay up way past bedibyes and do have to do stuff on Monday, and the evening is only really starting in the Americas on the East Coast. Those western boys can check out the chicks, unless they're a complete loon and want to play PR compared to that

    Re: Insurgency Night

If we start Password Nights earlier in the day not only will it be Euro Friendly but we will actually have the time & possibly even playerbase to run through more than 3 maps. The Euro's and the lazy people who don't have jobs/school on those days can enjoy the early fare, and then rest of the US/Can./etc. players will come out of the woodwork for the remainder of the night.

    Just sayin'.

    Re: Insurgency Night

With the addition of a new euro friendly admin maybe sucker free Sundays pw day/night event can begin at around 10am-12pmEST that way to insure it being euro friendly as well as North American for the west and east coasts and in between. (Obviously West Coast players will most like get on between and or not limited to after 2pm +/-)

If there is enough interest/admin availability Sunday PW day/nights can be more of a weekly event.

    Side note:
Will Thursday PW nights be making a comeback?
