    Photons have mass.

since when have photons had mass?
If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks

To clarify, actually light has mass if you apply the following definition; if something has any gravitational pull on subject it has mass--> light has mass

If you use the definition 'rest mass', light has no mass.

    Re: Makavelli

Of course I am using rest mass it is the only measurement we have. And light can be deflected by a gravitational field even if it did not have mass. This is a consequence of general relativity.

Great thread. What I particularly love is the way there is no agreement about where he is from, the suggestions are still coming in. Maybe time for a poll?
