^ What Ferris said. If someone is sitting on top of the Mosque with the intention of farming kills you aren't going to get any sympathy from the admins when someone gets sick of it and shoots you.

The admins have discussed this at length. We can either:

a) change it so people can fire on individual targets that are exploiting the rule.

b) have mosques open to fire like in the past

c) leave the rules the way it is

No matter what we do people will exploit it, option a is far too open-ended and we've got enough complicated rules as it is...

Sounds to me like you are just trying to abuse the rules.

The rules need to be simple so everyone can remember them and follow, so use common sense to fill in the blanks.

There is now way we can make the server rulse with exception claws like "10a, bracket 1: If the offending party is hiding in a mosqu using a sniper to pic out friendly troops, you can fire up on that target" It would just get to complicated and nobody could follow it.

the rule says that BlueFor forces must not shoot inside under any circumstances.

Sounds to me like you are just trying to abuse the rules

I have to agree with the fact that they are allowed to engage me once I leave the safety of the mosque, but once again the safety of the mosque is not mentioned in any way
in the rules, so I did not know where this inoffical safety ends.
and therefor i believed i was right.
Obviously I was wrong, obviously I am the only one here that did not know that the roof is a non-safety zone.

The "safety of the mosque" is there to protect spawning insurgents. It is not there to protect snipers who have taken the time to climb/rope on to the roof of the mosque and are actively engaging targets.

Stealth, did you even read what I wrote and nardini's response? Let me make it perfectly clear:
It doesnt matter what you think about your righteousness.
You abused a loophole in the rules and died as a result.
The admin staff is NOT going to agree with you.

Your best bet here is to do one of two things:
1.) Apologize, because you didnt know it was a loophole, and promise not to do it again.
2.) Drop it and keep your mouth shut about it.

Anything else makes you look arrogant and obstructive.

Exactly. Stop using the rules as crutches, stop using the mosque to farm kills, get out on the streets and play. Otherwise don't be surprised when the other team gets pissed off and takes you out. I don't blame the Stryker team one bit, and I'm sure the other admins on at the time don't either.

I'm too lazy to look up my previous posts, but I'm pretty sure I made it clear that we do not make our rules to favor one side over another, and that all of our rules are a two-way street, with one glaring exception: insurgents can baserape.

Rules will not be put into place to protect a player and make them invincible. Rules are put into place to give some order to the game and to allow players to enjoy themselves without being subject to stupidity of others.

Firing into the mosque means you cannot fire onto the insurgents while they are on the ground. As I pointed out in the post Snoogums quoted, they are points, especially on Ramiel, where the BluFor can easily decimate spawning insurgents. This rules is in place to protect you there. If you are going to fire out of the mosque then you are going to have to deal with the consequences. Climbing onto the roof of the mosque to snipe and then expecting people not to shoot back, or even worse for the admins to punish those players who shot at you is simply incorrect thinking. The rules don't work that way, and the admins won't enforce them that way.
